Samson Erinfolami Balogun Eletu, a controversial show promoter popularly known as Sam Larry, has been taken into custody by the Nigeria Police for questioning regarding the ongoing investigation into Mohbad‘s death.

The police have initiated inquiries to unravel the details surrounding the 27-year-old artist’s demise, with an autopsy already conducted after the exhumation of his remains last Thursday.

Mohabd passed away mysteriously on September 12, and reports suggested struggles with depression and other mental health-related issues, speculated to be linked to his contentious departure from his former record label, Marlian Records, owned by Naira Marley.

Sam Larry and Naira Marley are known associates, and after Mohbad’s death, videos depicting his mistreatment by the former surfaced online, raising suspicions of their involvement in his demise.

Another video emerged, featuring the deceased pointing to his former boss (Naira Marley) as responsible if anything happened to him.

These revelations have positioned both individuals as primary suspects in the ongoing investigation, while the public continues to call for justice for the late singer.

Despite Sam Larry releasing a video refuting his alleged involvement in Mohbad’s death, stating that the circulating videos were old and should not be used to incriminate him, Nigerians are urging him to present himself to the police to clear his name.

On his part, Naira Marley has denied any connection to the events leading to Mohbad’s death.

He, currently out of the country, vowed to return and cooperate with the police in the ongoing investigation, with the condition that the authorities ensure his safety.
