Ghanaian actor Enoch Darko, popularly known as Watabombshell, recently revealed the pivotal role played by Nigerian star Osita Iheme in his acting career.
In a candid conversation with Kwaku Manu, Watabombshell shared how Iheme, also known as Pawpaw, mentored him during his early days in Nollywood.
Expressing deep gratitude, Watabombshell credited Iheme with teaching him the intricacies of acting and refining his skills.
“Osita Iheme influenced my career positively. He taught me so many things and I am grateful to him. Nigerians generally are humble people. Osita Iheme is a humble person and I admire him a lot. He taught me many things I wouldn’t have learnt in Ghana,” Enock Darko stated.
The actor highlighted Iheme’s humility and respectfulness, emphasising the invaluable support he received in Nigeria’s film industry.
Reflecting on his experiences, Watabombshell contrasted the supportive culture of Nollywood with his observations about the Ghanaian film scene, noting the willingness of Nigerian stars to assist fellow actors and newcomers a sentiment he found lacking in Ghana.
