Veteran Ghanaian musician Samini Dagati claims that no song currently on the radio can match the success of his 2017 hit single, “My Own.”
The Grammy-winning singer asserted that his song stands out among all others released by the industry’s top brass, highlighting both the significance of the song and its appeal across all segments of the population.
He claimed that no song by well-known artists like Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, or Sarkodie had achieved success comparable to “My Own.”
Samini insisted that his remarks were not intended as a criticism of the younger artists and made it clear that he was referring to the well-known figures in the field.
“There’s no hit song in space. No hit song can beat ‘My Own’ right now. No disrespect to the ‘kids.’ Don’t get me wrong. We are talking about the four ‘S'[Samini, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie.” he said on his appearance on the Day Show on TV3.
However, Samini extended his best wishes to Stonebwoy for his latest album and expressed his fondness for the track titled ‘Into the Future.’
