“Dumsor and dollar” – Kwame Sefa Kayi lists the two biggest problem of Ghana’s economy

Host of Peace FM’s morning show, Kokrokoo, Kwame Sefa Kayi, also known as Chairman General, has named the two major problems currently facing the current government: “dumsor and dollar.”

The board member of the National Petroleum Authority, during an engagement with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM on March 4, 2024, refused to name and commend some of the government’s achievements when asked, citing that he was not qualified to do that as people are paid to do that.

“You asked for my fair assessment of the current government’s performance and I’m saying that I am not qualified to do so but I can say for a fact that he has two problems and both of them start with a “D”: Dumsor and dollar

I leave the praise singing to those who are paid to do that,” he noted.

Despite Abeiku Santana’s insistence, the chairman general refused to commend the government for any achievement so far, citing ‘fear’ of partisan misinterpretation by some people.

“Abeiku, there are people paid to do that and its their job, not mine. You know why? I’d tell you why. Politics has messed up lots of things in Ghana; hence, if you are careless with your words, people will sew clothes and want to fit you in them. So for me, I will tell you there are only two things: dumsor and dollar.”
