My father is still alive; I have a lot to be grateful for – Edward Kufuor

The son of former President John Agyekum Kufuor, Edward Agyekum Kufuor, expressed deep gratitude to his father for taking a precious moment from his busy schedule to celebrate his 56th birthday.

The celebration, marked by gratitude and reflection, took place against the backdrop of recent sorrow, as the Kufuor family mourned the loss of Theresa Kufuor, the wife of the former president, who passed away at the age of 87 at her home in Peduase on Sunday, October 1.

Edward Kufuor, acknowledging the recent loss of his mother, found solace and comfort in the presence of his father on his special day.

Speaking about the significance of the celebration, he shared, “For me to spend my birthday with my father, it is a privilege, it is a blessing. I have recently lost my mother, so having him around is consolation for me, it’s comforting, and for him to be able to spend my birthday with me is a blessing.”

Despite the shadows of grief, Edward expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life bestowed upon both him and his father.
