The burial arrangements for the late Nollywood actor Mr. Ibu have been unveiled on social media, sparking interest among fans.
John Okafor, the veteran Nollywood actor known as Mr. Ibu, is set to be buried soon, with the details of the burial plan recently shared online.
Mr. Ibu passed away in Lagos following a cardiac arrest on March 2, 2024.
According to the announcement, a five-day event will be held to honour the memory of the beloved film star.
The activities will commence on June 25 and conclude on June 30, 2024.
On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, a special football match between Nollywood and Rangers International is scheduled, followed by a candlelight procession at Mr. Ibu’s residence on the next day.
On Thursday, June 27, a wake will be held for the late actor at the Eziokwe Amurri compound in Enugu.
The following day, Mr. Ibu’s body will be transported from the Eastern Nigerian Medical Centre to his hometown in Amurri Nkwanu West LGA for the funeral.
The memorial events will culminate on Sunday, June 30, 2024, with a thanksgiving ceremony in honor of the late actor.
