Entertainment commentator, Ola Michael, has clarified that the actions of LGBTQ+ people have the potential to end the world.
During a recent conversation about the parliamentary endorsement of the anti-LGBTQ+ bill on United Showbiz with MizGee, he brought up analogies of similar activities in the Bible that caused the distraction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
According to the Bible, Sodom and Gomorrah was a nation destroyed due to the widespread wickedness and depravity of their inhabitants.
The cities were known for their rampant sinfulness, including, homosexuality, violence, and disregard for the laws of God.
God decided to punish these cities for their evil ways, and ultimately, they were destroyed by fire and brimstone as a divine judgment.
Thus, his assertion that LGBTQ activities may play a major role in bringing the world to an end.
“God observed that the towns of Sodom and Gomorrah were inhabited by people engaging in the behavior we’re discussing. His anger was evident when he discussed it with Abraham, indicating his displeasure with the act. He reluctantly considered destroying them by fire, fearing that if left unchecked, the behavior would spread to others. The wrongdoing involved men desiring relations with other men and women seeking intimacy with other women, driven by feelings of suppression and desire for autonomy. If the world will come to an end. This is what will bring it to an end,” Ola Micheal explained.
Parliament approved an Anti-LGBTQ+ bill aiming to outlaw the actions of homosexuals.
Yet, President Akufo-Addo has not yet approved the bill, delaying its enactment.
This has sparked various discussions and debates among the public.
While some Ghanaians eagerly await the president’s endorsement of the bill, others argue that the penalties outlined in it are cruel and warrant reconsideration.
