Ghanaian chef Abena Kwartemaa has announced her intention to attempt a Guinness World Records cook-a-thon.
She shared the exciting news on her official Instagram page, displaying a screenshot of the official email from Guinness World Records (GWR) approving her cook-a-thon attempt.
According to the details provided on a flier, the record-breaking attempt is set to take place in Kumasi, located in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, starting on February 16, 2024.
If successful, Chef Abena Kwartemaa will become the second Ghanaian chef to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking hours, following in the footsteps of Chef Failatu Abdul Razak.
In an interview, she noted that in September last year, she filed her application with the Guinness World Record and began working towards her aim.
“I can break the current record,” she said on Opemsuo Radio.
