Controversial entertainment pundit, Sally Mann, has strongly criticized comic actor Funny Face for seeking financial support on social media.
She argued that Funny Face made a wrong move by publicizing his predicament and asking for financial help, leading to vehement criticisms from certain segments of the public.
Mann asserted that Funny Face should take a different approach, advising him to seek employment opportunities as a young man to support himself.
She emphasized that resorting to soliciting public financial aid exposes him to public criticism, and instead, he should focus on finding ways to fend for himself.
“He [Funny Face] needs help in what sense? Is he a cripple? Can’t he go and find work to do? Or he cannot work because he is a celebrity? He should knock on the doors of people to help him instead of going on social media to beg for money,” she said while speaking on Adom TV and monitored by GhanaWeb.
Funny Face was further criticized by Sally Mann for using social media to ask for help, and she urged him to stop doing so since it damages his reputation.
“Funny Face said he is sick and has recovered now. If you make your predicaments known to the whole world with some people chiding you, how would you heal? I think he should keep certain things to himself.
“Look at how Asamoah made it public that he had promised him 1,000 cedis and people were criticizing him, it was not good. I have a problem with him making the issue known on social media because that is causing more public havoc,” she fumed.
Recently, Funny Face took to his social media to disclose the financial challenges preventing him from seeing his children for an extended period. He appealed to the public for support, urging them to contribute any amount to improve his situation.
The announcement received varied reactions on social media, with some expressing skepticism about the authenticity of his claims. Notably, Ghanaian footballer Asamoah Gyan and other personalities have stepped forward to contribute funds to assist him.
