Popular comedian and content creator, Sadiq Sule, widely known as SDK, has revealed in a recent interview on 3FM that he is currently undergoing therapy to navigate the mental distress stemming from the loss of both parents last year.
SDK shared how the thoughts of losing his parents sometimes linger, creating challenging moments that impact both his creativity and productivity. Seeking professional help, he acknowledged that engaging with a therapist has significantly improved his situation.
“It has been crazy since I lost both parents. That one really dey eat me up. So now I have gone to seek the advice of a therapist, and I’m on it. It got to a point that I am not really inspired; sometimes the work will be there, but I’m not motivated to do it,” he expressed.
SDK encouraged others facing similar challenges to seek support and consider therapy, emphasizing the positive impact it has had on his own life.
In addition to his comedic endeavors, SDK also shared insights into his unexpected journey into food blogging.
Renowned for his funny skits and content, he found a new passion for food blogging after a successful promo shoot for a photographer friend, highlighting the positive response from the audience.
Reflecting on the monetary aspects of his food blogging venture, SDK noted, “It pays. But by the time you take the money and get out of the comfort zone, then the money reduces because you have a crew that you pay and all.”
The comedian-turned-food-blogger hopes to inspire others to explore new avenues and seek support when facing challenging times.
