Ghanaian musician Akwaboah has addressed speculations surrounding his recent marriage to his wife, Theresa. Rumors circulated that Akwaboah had children with two other women and left them to marry a virgin, sparking widespread conversations on social media.
In an upcoming interview with Delay on TV3, Akwaboah spoke publicly about the issue for the first time. He explained that certain circumstances, beyond his control, influenced his decisions.
“In life, we set timelines and expect certain things to happen, but they don’t always go as planned. We still move on. As a man, I wasn’t happy about having children with two different women and then marrying another. But situations arose that I can’t fully explain now,” he told Delay.
When asked if his past relationships could have been maintained, Akwaboah admitted that a more peaceful environment might have led to different outcomes. “Perhaps, if those relationships had been more peaceful, I would have remained in them,” he said.
Regarding the question of breaking the virginity of two women and then marrying a virgin, Akwaboah clarified, “They were not virgins when I met them. As for my wife, I didn’t choose her because she was a virgin; I didn’t even know until I told her I wanted to be with her.”
