Ghanaian veteran actor Fred Amugi recently shared his experience of being turned down for movie roles due to his age, despite his significant contributions to the country’s film industry.

During an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Fred expressed his disappointment at facing age-related discrimination in the industry.
He emphasized the importance of representing all age groups in films, noting that families and communities comprise individuals of varying ages who work together harmoniously.
Nevertheless, Fred remains active and committed to acting.
He mentioned his involvement in two upcoming film projects: “The Fisherman,” a foreign-style film shot in Ghana, and “Yen Ara,” specifically “Yen Ara Asaase Ni.”
