A viral video of Pastor Elvis Agyemang, the founder of Grace Mountain Ministry, has triggered a widespread response and discussion among viewers.

In the video, Pastor Agyemang shares his critique of the popular practice of conducting photoshoots to commemorate birthdays, suggesting that this trend is influenced by malevolent forces, particularly Satan.

The pastor, renowned for leading his church’s widely attended Alpha Hour prayer session, holds the belief that many young individuals place an undue emphasis on the superficial aspects of birthdays while neglecting their spiritual significance and connection.

The viral video has catapulted Pastor Elvis Agyemang into the social media spotlight, where he articulates his disapproval of those who engage in the birthday photoshoot trend.

He firmly contends that individuals who partake in such practices are essentially aligning themselves with worldly trends that he views as frivolous when considered in the broader context of life’s purpose and spirituality.

“You’re a joker. You’re following the trends of this world. If you know the spiritual impact of birthdays, you won’t be taking new pictures for your birthday,” the preacher proclaims.

Pastor Agyemang further elaborates on his viewpoint by suggesting that Satan has a hidden agenda to divert individuals from their intended destinies. He argues that the practice of taking new birthday photos each year and sharing them with friends, with the expectation of receiving good wishes, aligns with the devil’s sinister plan.

In his perspective, this singular focus on age increment during birthdays serves no purpose in promoting one’s spiritual growth or enhancing one’s spiritual glory. Pastor Elvis Agyemang emphasizes the need for people to redirect their priorities towards more meaningful and spiritually fulfilling endeavors rather than indulging in what he perceives as superficial and worldly customs.

“All that the devil wants is for your age to increase. So, all that you are doing is increasing in numbers but not the glory. It’s only numbers you are adding up,” he claims.

“Don’t you know where we produce destinies on birthdays? That every birthday you must consult an altar?” Pastor Elvis Agyemang asks, emphasizing the spiritual significance he attributes to birthdays.

However, the public’s response to his remarks has been conflicted. His point of view is contested by many, and they charge him with using unfair standards.

They contend that if he truly believes in abstaining from practises connected to Satan, he ought to stop using social media to broadcast his sermons and Alpha Hour prayer sessions, which have also been criticised by some other religious leaders as being affected by evil forces.

In essence, Pastor Elvis Agyemang’s opinions on birthday photo shoots have sparked a discussion about how spirituality and contemporary practises interact, with some defending his position and others refuting it.
