Renowned Ghanaian comic actor Kwasi Boadi, popularly known as Akrobeto, has candidly discussed the painful details of his unsuccessful marriage, shedding light on the reasons behind its collapse.
In a revelation, the Kumawood veteran actor disclosed that he entered into matrimony in 2006 with high hopes of building a happy family.
Unfortunately, the marriage took a dark turn as he became a victim of physical abuse inflicted by his wife.
Recalling the distressing period, Akrobeto shared how his family implored him to end the marriage to safeguard his life, as the abuse had reached a point where his well-being was at risk.
The seasoned entertainer made these revelations in response to the 20th-anniversary celebration of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, highlighting the stark contrast between their joyous milestone and his own turbulent past.
“I got married in 2006. However, my wife was abusive, so to save my life, I had to walk out. My family was of the view that if I don’t walk out, I may end up dead,” Akrobeto solemnly shared, unveiling a previously undisclosed chapter of his life.
