Outspoken media personality and musician Abubakar Ahmed, popularly known as Blakk Rasta, has taken a bold stance, urging Ghanaians to refrain from eulogizing the late Deputy Finance Minister, John Kumah.
According to Blakk Rasta, the late Deputy Finance Minister, does not deserve any positive attributes due to his alleged role in causing economic hardship during President Akufo-Addo’s leadership.
Blakk Rasta firmly asserts that John Kumah, who recently passed away, served as a tool of destruction for ordinary Ghanaians, contributing to their suffering under the administration.
Despite the potential discomfort for the late minister’s family, Blakk Rasta emphasised that the deeds of John Kumah cannot be overlooked, citing his impact on the financial difficulties faced by the people.
In support of his argument, Blakk Rasta points to a post by President Akufo-Addo eulogizing the late John Kumah, using it as further evidence to strengthen his message.
“I do not eulogize dead people who were not good people when they were alive. He is undeserving of praise, as he, under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo, caused enough hardship. I am sorry to the family, but he caused financial hardship to Ghanaians,” Blakk Rasta stated firmly.

Black Rasta, you are a true and genuine Ghanaian who has Ghana at heart. You have said it all as it is. I can’t agree with you more about John kumah. I can’t understand why people wants to treat him as a hero. He’s not at all. Can you imagine, this is somebody who told the whole nation that we are not going to IMF today or tomorrow, yet within few days he and Ken ofori Atta took us to IMF. He lied !. How can such a person be our hero ? No, Ghana deserve better. Ghana is indeed in leadership crisis.
