Ghanaian musician popularly known as Medikal, Samuel Adu Frimpong, expressed that his music resonates deeply with his life experiences during an interview on Starr Chat with Bola Ray on Thursday.
“My music is my life, anything you hear in my music is what I am seeing and going through, what I’m hearing, and seeing.
“So I always create the songs with what I am going through so it depends on the mood I am in. When I am sad you might hear it in my song and when I am happy, making money or broke, you will hear it in my song,” Medikal narrated.
He described his decade-long journey in the Ghanaian music industry as a successful one, marked by significant achievements.
“It’s been beautiful despite the ups and downs, here and there. I will rate my experience in the music industry at ten over ten because I see it as all that I have been through is the reason I am here now.
“I am better than I was ten years ago. So I will rate it ten over ten no matter what we have gone through ten years ago. Five years ago I wasn’t in a position to make certain things happen,” he stated.
The rapper from Ghana went on to say that helping those around him has always been his desire.
“Right now, I have accumulated a lot of things that I can boast about. I can say that I can make this or that happen. I can change the lives of other people. That is what I have always wanted,” he added.
