A determined Ghanaian, Prince Sintim Aboagye, is gearing up to make history by attempting to break the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest marathon ironing by an individual.
Excitement has been building as he shared the official email from Guinness World Records (GWR) on his Instagram page, confirming the acceptance of his ambitious ironing marathon.
Scheduled to take place at the Agya Herbal Lady D Pub in Pokuase, the marathon ironing attempt is set for May 3 to May 13, 2024.
Prince is aiming to iron continuously for an impressive 250 hours.
Many have already expressed their enthusiasm, with some even planning to bring their clothes for him to iron during the event.
As the news spreads, discussions have emerged about the growing trend of Ghanaians taking on Guinness World Record marathons.
Currently, the record for the longest marathon ironing is held by Gareth Sanders, who ironed for 100 hours in Bristol, UK, from October 26 to 30, 2015.
Notably, Gareth’s attempt was for a charitable cause, conducted at a local Asda Superstore.
With Prince’s determination and the community’s support, all eyes are now on Pokuase as he embarks on this extraordinary journey to break the Guinness World Record.
