Ghanaian gospel artist Florence Obinim has refuted allegations of undergoing cosmetic surgery to enhance her physique. She asserts that her naturally beautiful body is an inheritance from her mother.
During an interview with Ghpage, as reported by Graphic Showbiz, Florence Obinim revealed that her mother, named Akosua, had a substantial backside and hips. She clarified that her body’s appearance had been further accentuated by post-pregnancy weight gain, but she achieved her desired physique through dedicated gym workouts.
“My butts are natural, after giving birth to all my children, I did some serious gym work and I was very particular about my stomach because if you have a flat tummy, your butt and hips will automatically be very visible” she explained.
Florence Obinim, known for her hit songs like “Mehyia Jesus” and “Osoro Ne Mefie,” shared that her journey towards achieving her desired body began after she faced body-shaming on live television.
Her musical talent blossomed during her formative years as a singer at a branch of the Assemblies of God church in Kumasi. Inspired by South Africa’s Rebecca Malope, she released her debut song, “Osoro ne me fie,” and has since delighted her audience with tracks like “Wagye me,” “Oben me,” “Mehia w’adom,” “Mdimafo,” “Mahunu bi da,” and “Ma me nyansa.”
