The demise of veteran actor Prince Yawson, popularly known in the film industry as Waakye has left many Ghanaians recalling fond memories of the late super star.
He is said to have passed on earlier today at the 37 Military Hospital after battling an illness.
Mr Yawson was 52 years of age.
Before deciding to make acting his full-time profession, Waakye began his acting career by appearing in stage productions.
The actor gained notoriety for his performances in a number of films, such as Obra and Diabolo in the early 2000s.
With his unique style of acting coupled with his sense of humor, the name waakye became a household name.
