US-based Ghanaian musician Skrewfaze has voiced his disappointment over remarks made by dancehall artist Stonebwoy about his song “Jejereje.”
During a live TikTok session, the “Gbalagazaa” hitmaker clarified that he’s in no hurry to join Stonebwoy’s track “Jejereje.”
Skrewfaze explained that his live video discussing a potential collaboration with Stonebwoy was purely in response to frequent requests from his fans.
“My little brother (Stonebwoy), I want to say I am proud of your achievements. But let’s get this straight, I want you to understand that I am not anxious for any feature. The only reason why I did that live TikTok freestyle of your (Jejereje) song was because of the messages I was receiving in my inbox from my fans.
“I respect your decision, but one thing you should know is I am one of the people who laid the foundation for you,” he said.
Skewfaze added that he is, however, open to a possible feature if the “Jejereje” singer approaches him.
“But one thing you should also understand is that I don’t know the plans you have with your team on that song. That’s why I said if your team should reach out, I wouldn’t mind doing a verse on it. Because of self-respect, that is why I asked you to call me. As an artist, you should know how things are done in the industry,” he added.
