The Recording Academy has revealed that the renowned Nigerian artist, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu MFR, known professionally as Burna Boy, is poised to captivate audiences at this year’s Grammy award ceremony.

Scheduled to unfold on February 4th, 2024, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the event promises an unforgettable night of musical brilliance.

The ‘African Giant’ will share the spotlight with a constellation of top-tier performers, including Luke Combs, Travis Scott, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and Olivia Rodrigo.

Burna Boy’s participation marks a significant milestone, as he becomes the second African artist to grace the prestigious Grammy stage, following in the footsteps of Beninese icon Angelique Kidjo, who performed in 2020.

Burna Boy is not just a performer; he is a contender for multiple Grammy Awards, with nominations in four distinct categories for the 2024 ceremony.

His acclaimed album, “I Told Them,” is up for Best Global Music Album, while his tracks “City Boys” and “Alone” have earned him nominations for the inaugural Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Performance, respectively.

Additionally, Burna Boy’s prowess in the realm of rap is recognized with a nomination for Best Melodic Rap Performance for “Sittin’ On Top Of The World.”
