The National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha, has underscored the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s strong anti-corruption stance.
Mustapha argued that Dr. Bawumia’s track record in combating corruption surpasses that of John Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He pointed to Dr. Bawumia’s clean reputation both as a technocrat and a politician, contrasting it with what he sees as a different scenario for Mahama.
Mustapha challenged anyone alleging corruption against Dr. Bawumia to provide evidence, highlighting the absence of such accusations against him.
These comments were made during an interview in the Ashanti Region as part of Mustapha’s National Youth Campaign tour.
The tour aims to engage the NPP Youth Wing in readiness for the upcoming limited voter registration exercise organized by the Electoral Commission.
Additionally, it seeks to rally the youth of the region to support the NPP government in their pursuit of the “break the 8 agenda.”
