Ghana Premier League powerhouse Hearts of Oak has been compelled to move its home games to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium due to the closure of the Accra Sports Stadium.

This relocation impacts the eagerly anticipated Super Clash against Asante Kotoko SC, originally scheduled for Accra on Sunday, December 10, which will now be held in Kumasi.

The closure of the Accra Sports Stadium is attributed to its rental for Christmas concerts and other events.

The Ghana Football Association officially confirmed this decision by Hearts last Friday.

Currently occupying the 7th position on the league table with 16 points, Hearts recently parted ways with coach Martinus Koopman. Assistant Abdul Rahim Bashiru is temporarily in charge until a permanent appointment is made.

The Phobians are gearing up for a challenging fixture against league leaders Aduana Stars at Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa Ahenkro.

In a midweek setback, Hearts faced an embarrassing elimination from the FA Cup, losing on penalties to lower-tier Nania FC.
