Ghanaian actor and film director, Eddie Nartey, is making waves by sharing empowering advice for women when it comes to dating.
Encouraging a mindset of self-reliance and preparedness, Nartey challenged societal expectations surrounding relationships.
Taking to his Instagram page, Nartey delivered a straightforward message to women, urging them to be ready for unforeseen circumstances when invited on a date.
“Ladies, if a guy invites you on a date, please prepare. Carry some cash with you because you may not know what will happen. And even when you go, be mindful of what you eat,” he emphasised.
Nartey’s call for women to carry cash goes against the grain of traditional gender roles that often dictate financial dynamics in relationships.
He questioned the norm by asking women to be financially prepared, fostering a sense of self-sufficiency rather than dependency.
In a society where expectations are influenced by traditional gender roles, Nartey’s advice advocates for a more balanced approach to dating and shared responsibilities.
By challenging the stereotype that men should always be the ones to cover expenses, Nartey is contributing to a shift in mindset that promotes equality between partners.
