Entrepreneur and media personality Afua Asantewaa Aduonum‘s ambitious attempt to break the record for the longest singing marathon by an individual hit a snag due to a communication breakdown with Guinness World Records (GWR).
Despite impressing many Ghanaians with her sing-a-thon, it was revealed on Friday, February 23, 2024, that her effort fell short.
The disappointing news surfaced after an individual raised an inquiry, prompting questions about whether Afua was aware of the setback.
In a video statement, Afua expressed frustration over being unable to access her account on the official Guinness World Records portal.
Eric Toscar shared screenshots of Afua’s conversations with Guinness World Records online, highlighting her complaints about account access issues.
One screenshot revealed that she had formally communicated with an official from Guinness World Records regarding the problem.
Notably, the screenshots also showed that Guinness World Records acknowledged receiving evidence related to Afua’s record attempt and the payment she made for a quick review.
