Ghanaian actor and musician, Frank Osei, popularly known as Frank Naro, has revealed his aspirations to run for the Member of Parliament seat in the Ejisu constituency, located in the Ashanti Region.
According to a flyer circulating on social media, Frank Naro plans to contest as an independent candidate, competing against the incumbent MP, Mr. John Ampontuah Kumah, who is a member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
However, the announcement of Frank Naro’s political ambitions has sparked diverse reactions from netizens.
While some mocked his venture into politics, others extended well-wishes for his endeavour.
Notably, Frank Naro follows in the footsteps of his senior colleague, Lil Win, who had previously expressed interest in vying for the parliamentary seat in the Afigya Kwabre South constituency.
Frank Naro initiated his acting career in Kumawood at a young age, mentored by Kwaku Manu.
He appeared in numerous movies alongside stars like Agya Koo, Akrobeto, Nana Ama McBrown, and Vivian Jill.
Taking a break from the movie industry due to what he described as spiritual attacks, he later transitioned to a music career, releasing several popular songs.
