Dumsor disrupts parliamentary sessions today

Today, Wednesday, July 10, 2024, Parliament experienced a blackout.

This isn’t the first time the legislative chamber has encountered such an issue, particularly during sessions.

The latest incident happened in February during President Akufo-Addo’s State of the Nation Address (SONA).

In March 2024, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) severed the House’s power supply due to an outstanding debt totaling GH¢23 million.
