The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Bosome Freho Constituency, Nana Kwame Asafo Adjei Aryeh, has warned Ghanaians against voting for the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming December polls.
about the risks of electing a previously unsuccessful government.
He emphasized the importance of voters considering candidates’ track records before casting their ballots.
Speaking on the Ghanakoma morning show on Akoma 87.9 FM in Kumasi on July 10, alongside Sir John, he clarified that raising concerns about a candidate’s potential failures is not motivated by malice but serves as a necessary reminder based on past experiences.
Mr. Asafo Adjei highlighted that the alternative to the current government is “alarming” and “worse.”
“We are going into a competition and in that competition, that yesterday’s failure is the one coming up to say that you see they could not perform, so give me the chance.”
“It’s important to remind those who are going to take the decision that, this man who claims that, give me the chance cannot do it better. For that one, we need to make that point clear. We can no longer keep quiet. It doesn’t mean that if we say so, we are saying so in bad faith.”
“It is important that you remind the decision makers that the alternative is scary. The alternative is worse,” he said.
He praised the current NPP government’s achievements across various sectors compared to the previous NDC administration.
Mr. Asafo Adjei expressed confidence in his efforts to significantly increase votes for the NPP in the Bosome Freho Constituency to over 85% in the 2024 general elections.
