‘Congo To Global’ Platform ranks Nigerian artists most influential in West Africa; Ghana misses out

The West African music scene has experienced a surge in global recognition, with artists like Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid making significant waves internationally.

According to data from Congo to Global Nigerian artists, Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid are prominent figures in West Africa, commanding immense popularity and influence.

Notably, the absence of Ghanaian artists from the list of most popular West African artists has left Ghanaian fans disappointed.

Burna Boy, also known as Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, has established himself as one of Africa’s top music exports, blending Afrobeat, dancehall, and reggae to captivate audiences worldwide.

His albums “African Giant” and “Twice as Tall” have garnered critical acclaim and numerous awards, including a Grammy for Best Global Music Album.
