Self-proclaimed queen of Ghanaian comedy and a prominent media figure, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa known popularly as Afia Schwarzenegger has launched a fierce criticism against Nana Kwame Bediako known popularly as Cheddar, the flagbearer of the New Force political party, over his recent statement regarding the creation of a sea in Kumasi.
In a widely circulated self-recorded video, Afia Schwar dismissed Cheddar’s assertion, calling it nonsensical.
She emphasised that Ghana faces pressing issues such as the lack of hospitals and schools, making the notion of creating a sea irrelevant to the country’s needs.
The actress expressed disbelief at Cheddar’s priorities, questioning the wisdom behind such a proposal when critical sectors like healthcare and education require urgent attention. In her impassioned critique, she labeled the idea as “rubbish” and criticised Cheddar for not addressing more pertinent issues affecting Ghanaians.
“If someone wants to say something that he could do when given the nod, then they say they would create a sea in Kumasi. Animal, when we are lacking hospitals in this country. We do not even have land to farm, and you are stupidly talking about creating a sea, where would you put the water?”
Afia Schwar’s remarks reflect a growing sentiment among citizens demanding practical solutions to real-life challenges rather than extravagant promises with questionable feasibility.
