Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has conveyed his condolences to the Church of Pentecost following the passing of former Chairman Apostle Dr. Michael Kwabena Ntumy.
Apostle Ntumy, who dedicated his service to the Church from 1998 to 2008, succumbed on Wednesday, December 27, after a prolonged battle with paralysis.
He had previously handed over leadership to Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah, the immediate predecessor of the current Chairman, Apostle Eric Nyamekye.
“I have received with sadness the news of the passing of Apostle Dr. Michael Kwabena Ntumy, Chairman of the Church of Pentecost 1998-2008,” Dr Bawumia stated on X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday.
“Apostle Dr. Ntumy impacted humanity and deserved the accolade ‘God’s Chosen General’,” he added.
“My wife, Samira, and I extend our sincere condolences to the immediate family and the Church of Pentecost.
“May the soul of the selfless man rest in the bosom of the Lord.”
