British billionaire Joe Lewis, who owns Tottenham Hotspur football club through his family trust, admitted to breaking the law by trading stocks using secret information in a court in the United States.
Lewis, who is 86 years old, was accused of sharing information about the businesses he put money into with his private pilots, friends, personal assistants, and girlfriends.
US officials say the scam made many millions of dollars in profit.
Lewis admitted to being involved in a plan and committing fraud with stocks. He will find out his punishment in March.
