Wave of sorrow swept over relatives, sympathizers, constituents as they witness remains of late Ejisu MP

A wave of sorrow swept over relatives, sympathizers, and constituents as they gathered to witness the arrival of the late Ejisu Member of Parliament, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah‘s remains.

Dr. Kumah, who passed away at the age of 45 after a short illness on March 7, 2024, was brought to Ejisu and subsequently to his Donaso residence for burial and final funeral rites scheduled for Saturday, May 18, 2024.

Memories of the late MP, who also served as Deputy Finance Minister, were rekindled as his remains arrived, prompting an outpouring of grief among mourners.

Dr. Kumah is survived by his wife, Apostle Mrs. Lilian Kumah, and six children. He was a prominent figure in Ghana’s political and business sectors, known for his role as the inaugural CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), which he helped establish as a cornerstone of Ghana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

He also founded Aduaprokye Chambers, a law firm, and Majak Associates Ltd, a construction company.

Dr. Kumah held several academic achievements, including a Doctorate in Business Innovation from the Swiss Business School and a Master’s in Applied Business Research.
