A rather troubling news of how some individuals involved in the illegal mining business, commonly known as Galamsey, in Ghana, allegedly engage in blood sacrifices as part of their mining practices has come to light that certain
During a revealing interview on the Angel Morning Show, a former Galamsey worker disclosed that his colleagues perform blood sacrifices to ensure successful gold extraction from the mining pits. Shockingly, he claimed that newborn babies are often targeted for these sacrifices.
The method, as described by the ex-Galamsey worker, involves pounding newborn babies in empty cylinder cans and then sprinkling the remains into the mining pits. He further claimed that some nurses are involved in supplying these babies to the miners for a significant sum of money, around GHC 50,000 per baby.
The informant also asserted that these activities occur under the watch of security officials in Obuasi, a well-known mining town. He alleged that some of these officials are themselves participants in the Galamsey activities and have amassed considerable wealth as a result. He mentioned that individuals in influential positions, including police commanders, MCEs (Municipal Chief Executives), and politicians, are reportedly connected to these operations.
“They are pounded in empty cylinder cans and sprinkled in the pits as part of our blood sacrifices so we can get enough gold to mine…,” he revealed.
“Some even have pits and have employed some of the boys to mine for them…I know them, some are Police commanders, MCEs and known politicians…,” he stated further.
