Track allegedly loaded with mining equipment crashes into Sehwi Juaboso Magistrate Court

A KIA Rhino truck allegedly carrying mining equipment In the early hours of Tuesday, May 28, 2024, crashed into the Sehwi Juaboso Magistrate Court at Juaboso in the Western North region.

The truck, identified by its registration number AS 9184-20, reportedly suffered a brake failure, causing it to collide with the court building.

The impact caused significant damage to the exterior of the court, highlighting concerns about the environmental impact of galamsey activities in the region.

Galamsey, or illegal mining, has been a growing problem, and this incident underscores the risks associated with such operations.

Upon receiving reports of the crash, the Police swiftly responded to the scene.

They arrested the individuals involved in the accident, who are currently in Police custody pending further investigations.
