Renowned economist Kwame Pianim stated that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team has not reached out to him to join as an advisor on his manifesto team.
He dismissed reports, claiming his appointment was untrue.
“I think it is fake news; nobody has talked to me; nobody has contacted me. I didn’t know when they were inaugurating it. Maybe it is not me; they mean somebody else but definitely, I have not been contacted,” he told Paa Kwasi Asare on the Business Focus on TV3 on Tuesday, March 5.
The complete roster of the 2024 Manifesto committee was endorsed by Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the communications director of the campaign team.
He designated Kwame Pianim as an advisor to the economic subcommittee of the Manifesto team.
Dr Bawumia charged the committee to engage all stakeholders extensively in the formulation of the manifesto.
A former Member of Parliament for New Juaben South, Dr. Mark Assibey-Yeboah, has been appointed to the chair of the manifesto sub-committee on the economy.
