TDC Development Company becomes TDC Ghana Limited

TDC Development Company Limited has officially undergone a name change and is now known as TDC Ghana Limited, according to an announcement by the company’s management.

The public notice, shared with the Ghana News Agency, emphasized that the change in name is effective immediately, and all future business operations will be conducted under the new identity.

The management notice clarified that the decision to change the name from TDC Development Company Limited to TDC Ghana Limited was approved by the Board of Directors and shareholders.

This action aligns with the stipulations of Section 21(1) (a) and other relevant provisions of the Companies Act 2019 (Act 992).

Established in 1952 by an Act of Parliament, TDC Development Company Limited, now operating as TDC Ghana Limited, originally had the responsibility to plan and develop approximately 63 square miles of acquisition land for various purposes.

The company was granted a 125-year lease term to oversee the management of the Tema Acquisition Area.

In 2017, TDC underwent a transformation into a limited liability company, broadening its mandate to extend operations beyond the Tema Acquisition Area both in terms of operational focus and geographical reach.
