The police have arrested a 42-year-old man from Pakistan named Dilawar Hussain F. C
They said he gave himself up and admitted to the killings.
Last week, the bodies of Amelia, 67, Ángeles, 74, and José Gutiérrez Ayuso, 77, were found at their house.
They were a little bit burned.
The three of them lived in Morata de Tajuña, a small town with about 8,000 people. It’s located to the southeast of Madrid.
The police said the reason for the crime seemed to be because the siblings owed money to the person who committed the crime. This was because the sisters were involved in an online scam.
The siblings’ friends and neighbors told the local news that Ángeles and Amelia had been talking to men online who said they were from the US for many years.
The reports say that the two women sent a lot of money to a man they called “Edward” and his friend, who they thought was in the military in the US. They communicated with these people using Facebook.
José Gutiérrez Ayuso, who had a problem with his brain, did not send the money.
The siblings’ money was all used up because of these relationships, so the sisters had to ask local people for money and borrow from informal lenders. They also asked the mayor and priest of Morata de Tajuña for money, as reported by Spain’s ABC newspaper.
Mr Hussain met the siblings when he stayed with them as a renter for a few months. He told the police that the sisters borrowed a lot of money from him as a loan with high interest, but they didn’t give it back.
Mr Hussain hurt Amelia two times while she was still living at her place. The second time was in February 2023, when he hit her with a hammer and she needed to go to the hospital. He got sent to jail for two years and was told to stay away from someone, but he got out after seven months in September.
The police went into the house of the three brothers and sisters on Thursday because neighbors said they hadn’t seen or heard from them in a long time.
Enrique Velilla, a person who knew the sisters, said that the women kept sending money to their boyfriends. Because of this, they had to sell a property they owned in Madrid.
He also said that asking for money made their bank think it might be a scam.
“He said we told them it was not true, it was a trick. ” “But they didn’t want to hear about anything being dishonest or false. ”
He said, “Ángeles worked as a teacher and Amelia had gone to school. ” They were not dumb. They were regular people who fell in love.
Isa Balado was talking about a robbery in Madrid when he walked towards her and seemed to touch her backside. When she asked him about it, he said he didn’t do it.
Ms Balado tried to keep speaking, but the person in charge of the program stopped her.
Isa, sorry for bothering you. “Did he just touch your behind. ” Nacho Abad inquired.
The reporter agreed with Mr Abad, who told her to show the “idiot” on camera. Then, the camera moved to show Isa Balado and the man, who were still standing together and smiling happily.
Ms Balado told him that even though he wanted to know which channel they were from, there was no need for him to touch her bottom. She explained that she was currently doing a live show and focused on her work.
The man said he didn’t touch her, and then he tried to tickle her head as he left.
The police said they arrested a man for supposedly hurting a reporter while she was doing a TV show. The message was posted on X, which used to be called Twitter.
Mediaset Espana, the company that owns the news channel, said they support Ms Balado after the terrible situation she went through. They strongly condemn any kind of harassment or aggression.
Spain’s Labor Minister Yolanda Díaz also expressed her opinion about the incident, stating that it should not be ignored and there should be consequences for those involved. She wrote on X: “The reason why journalists going through sexual assaults like this is because of machismo. The people who attack them are not sorry and show no remorse on camera. ”
This happened as part of an argument about sexism in Spain. It started when the ex-president of the Spanish Football Association, Luis Rubiales, kissed World Cup winner Jenni Hermoso on the mouth.
He did things during the Women’s World Cup final that made many people angry. Because of this, a lot of people criticized him, he had to quit his job, and he was called to go to court for being accused of sexually assaulting and forcing someone to do something against their will.
A youngster who murdered his Spanish teacher with a baseball bat over a failing grade has been sentenced to life in prison.
In April, Willard Miller, then 17 years old, admitted to the ‘brutal’ murder of Nohema Graber in Fairfield, Iowa in 2021.
After she graded down his work, he and his classmate Jeremy Goodale, 18, attacked Ms. Graber on her routine afternoon stroll in Chautauqua Park.
Miller later told police he was frustrated with her way of teaching, saying her marks were pulling down his grade point average – a key score used in applications for colleges and scholarships.
He was sentenced to life in prison with a possibility of parole after 35 years. Goodale will be sentenced later.
The teen was also ordered to pay at least $150,000 (£117,000) in restitution to the victim’s family.
He told him: ‘I find that your intent and actions were sinister and evil. Those acts resulted in the intentional loss of human life in a brutal fashion.
‘There is no excuse.’
Before he was sentenced, Miller told the court he accepted responsibility for the killing and apologised to his victim’s family.
‘I would like to apologise for my actions, first and foremost to the family,’ he said. ‘I am sincerely sorry for the distress I have caused you and the devastation I have caused your family.’
Miller also apologised to the Fairfield community, his own family, Goodale’s family and the police.
‘I’m realizing just the magnitude of my actions, and I know it’s wrong and I knew it was wrong and yet I still carried through,’ he added. ‘I still did what I did, and I accept responsibility for that.’
Many of Ms Graber’s relatives either read or submitted victim impact statements describing her as kind, caring and devoted to her family, students and church.
Several also blamed Miller and Goodale for the recent death of her bereaved husband, who suffered from cancer but delayed treatment amid his depression over the murder.
‘I hope you open your soul to the lord and maybe ask for forgiveness there first because you’re on a spiral straight to hell,’ Ms Graber’s brother-in-law Jim said while staring at Miller.
Following the discovery of his partner’s strangled body at a hotel in a Spanish vacation destination, an Irish tourist was detained on suspicion of murder.
After responding to a hotel in the Costa Dorada resort of Salou on Sunday night, police stated they had detained the 30-year-old guy. They had discovered her lying motionless in a hallway.
Her alleged killer was found next to her with a wrist wound that was apparently “self-inflicted.” He was transferred to the hospital, where he was kept under police guard today.
According to sources close to the inquiry, the tourist who was detained is Irish, just like the 36-year-old woman he is suspected of killing by strangulation.
The same sources also indicated the pair, thought to be from Dublin although this has not been confirmed by officials, were understood to be partners and were sharing the same hotel room.
He allegedly used a cord to strangle her.
A hotel worker is said to have found the victim in one of the corridors trying to escape her suspected killer, according to a local report.
Staff at the four-star Magnolia Hotel in Salou where the horror incident occurred said they were unable to make any comment.
The alarm was raised around 9.30pm last night.
A spokesman for the regional Mossos d’Esquadra police force said: ‘Officers from the Mossos d’Esquadra’s Criminal Investigation Decision in Tarragona have arrested a man allegedly related to the violent death of a woman in Salou last night.
‘The events occurred around half past nine when the Mossos received a warning from a hotel in Salou saying a woman was seriously injured.
‘When they arrived at the scene, the officers found a woman lying on the floor and a man next to her with a self-inflicted wound.
‘Although emergency medical responders tried to revive the woman, they were finally only able to certify her death.
‘Officers arrested the man as the alleged perpetrator of the death.’
The suspect is under police guard at Joan XXIII Hospital in the city of Tarragona, the capital of the province of the same name.
He is understood to have caused his wrist wound by punching or hitting a pane of glass. Well-placed sources said his injuries were not ‘life-threatening.’
Police have not officially said yet whether they are treating the incident as a ‘domestic violence killing.’
However a spokesman for the Department of Equality and Feminisms of the Catalan regional government called the Generalitat has already condemned the crime and is referring to it as a femicide.
The department said in a tweet: ‘We are keeping tabs on the femicide in Salou.
‘We are working with the town hall and making our services available to the family and close friends of the victim who need maximum privacy at these difficult moments.’
Tania Verge, the Generalitat’s head of Equality and Feminisms, added: ‘Devastated by a new femicide. All our support to the victim’s family.
‘‘Machismo doesn’t have holidays. On the contrary when couples spend more time together the risk of suffering violence increases.’
Court officials later confirmed a court specialising in violence against women would be tasked with the criminal investigation.
They also said a secrecy order had been placed over the case, which does not prevent reporting of the incident and ongoing probe, but limits the amount of information civil servants including police can give out to media.
It is a common procedure in the early stages of a case and has the objective of legally safeguarding the ongoing criminal probe.
A local judicial official said: ‘Tarragona’s Duty Court proceeded last night to order the removal of the body of a woman who suffered a violent death at a hotel in Salou.
‘The case, which is under judicial secrecy, will be investigated by a court specialising in violence against women.
‘The victim and alleged aggressor are not residents in Spain and therefore it is not possible at this time to state whether there had been previous episodes of violence involving the couple.’
Salou Town Hall will hold a minute’s silence for the Irish woman killed last night at the four-star Magnolia Hotel.
It has already put up a banner with a black ribbon on its HQ.
The town hall said in a tweet: ‘Salou Town Hall condemns last night’s gender violence incident.
‘We urge society to participate in an act of rebuke this evening at 7pm in front of the town hall.’

The host of Onua Maakye, Captain Smart, has bemoaned the overabundance of Indian and Spanish television programs in Ghana’s media.
He has urged the President to take the situation seriously and claims that it has increased unemployment in the nation.
According to him, the movie industry has fallen flat due to the switch to the ‘twinovelas’ and rendered actors in the industry redundant, calling on the government to ban it outrightly.
Speaking about the Ghanaian cultural heritage with focus on how to communicate with dressing as part of Media General and Onua TV’s celebration of Ghana Month, Mr. Smart was livid how foreign content has flooded the local media screens gradually obliterating the very heritage supposed to be imparted unto the younger generation through movies.
“Would you go to America and see CNN showing Agya Koo’s movie? But today, even GBC has joined the foreign telenovelas crusade and they are also showing foreign operas with Twi dubbing,” he said in Twi Friday, March 3, 2023.
“Today those in the Ghanaian movie industry don’t have anything to do that’s why Kwaku Manu had to take solace in ‘Ɔdɔ Fever’. How could you have allowed Agya Koo, Mercy Asiedu, Lil Win, Emelia Brobbey and others to be there and be showing these things on our screens? Mr. President, with all humility, please ban it (India and Spanish series in Twi),” he said.
Veteran Nigeria defender Onome Ebi has joined newly-promoted Spanish women’s top-flight side Levante Las Planas ten months before the next Women’s World Cup.
The 39-year-old, who started her career in 2001 in Nigeria, penned a one-year deal as she tries to stay in shape ahead of the 2023 finals.
The seven-time Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (Wafcon) participant is aiming to become the first African to play in six World Cups.
Next year’s finals, where Ebi is set to captain the Super Falcons, will take place in Australia and New Zealand.
At the 2019 Women’s World Cup in France, Ebi became the first African player, man or woman, to appear at five World Cups.
After debuting at the 2003 tournament in the United States aged 20, she has become a mainstay of the Nigerian defence through the 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019 events.
Part of Nigeria’s beaten semi-finalists at this year’s Wafcon in Morocco, Ebi is a four-time winner of the continental competition.
Her move to Spain means the much-travelled and vastly-experienced centre back joins her tenth professional club in a career that spans over two decades.
A combined seven-year spell with Omidiran and Bayelsa Queens in Nigeria was followed by stints with Swedish clubs Piteå and Djurgården.
Successful stints in Turkey followed from 2011 to 2013, whereupon Ebi returned to Sweden to play for Sunnanå SK.
An adventurous three years in China (2017-2020) with Henan Jianye came in between two successful stints at Belarusian club FC Minsk, winning four domestic titles before leaving in November 2021.
Gabon striker Aubameyang, 33, scored 13 goals in 24 appearances for Barca after joining the Spanishclub in February from Arsenal.
Left-back Marcos Alonso has left Chelsea by mutual consent and is expected to sign for Barcelona.
Chelsea have the option to sign Zakaria on a permanent deal.
The 25-year-old Switzerland international only joined Juve from Borussia Monchengladbach in January.
When Aubameyang signed for Barca he had a buyout clause of 100m euros (£83.4m) in his contract, but has only played eight minutes this season. Barcelona have been looking to offload players after spending almost £200m on new arrivals despite being more than £1bn in debt.
The deal for Aubameyang means Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly has spent £255.3m in his first transfer window since buying the club from Roman Abramovich – the highest amount any English club has spent in a single transfer window.
Aubameyang said: ‘I’m really happy. It’s an honour to be part of this team and I can’t wait to start. I have some unfinished business with the Premier League so it’s good to be back and really exciting.’
He scored 92 goals in 163 games in all competitions for Arsenal, but left on a free transfer after falling out with manager Mikel Arteta.
That departure played a big part in the Gunners documentary All or Nothing.
Only four players have scored more Premier League goals than Aubameyang’s total of 68 in the period since 31 January 2018 – the date he joined Arsenal.
Aubameyang played under Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel at Borussia Dortmund between 2015 and 2017.
He scored 79 goals in 95 games in that time, 38 more than under any other manager.
Denis Zakaria, like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, had only joined his team earlier this year
This summer the Blues have brought in nine players, including Leicester’s French defender Wesley Fofana for a fee in the region of £70m, Spain left-back Marc Cucurella from Brighton for £62m, England forward Raheem Sterling from Manchester City for £50m, Senegal defender Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli for £34m and English midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa for £20m.
Boehly said: ‘Pierre-Emerick is an elite striker with a proven track record in the Premier League and his arrival strengthens our squad, giving us new attacking options. We are thrilled to have Pierre-Emerick on board with us in the new era at Chelsea and we’re really looking forward to working with him.’
Ghanaian international Gideon Acquah has joined Spanish Tercera side UD Montijo, footballghana.com can confirm.
The player was shipped out on loan to Spanish Segunda Division side Extremadura during the 2018/2019 football season.
After being monitored by UD Montijo in the past year, the Spanish Tercera outfit has signed Gideon Acquah from the Ghana Premier League giants.
“UD Montijo makes official the signing of Gideon Acquah, better known as ‘Gideon’, who signs for the red-black club the next four seasons after reaching an agreement with his home club, Medeama SCâ€, an official club statement has said today.
The young defender made quite the impression in the rojinegro team last season as he made as many as 27 appearances.
Gideon Acquah, 20, will be expected to play a key role for UD Montijo in the upcoming season while he continues his development.
The Spanish government on Tuesday proposed new legislation on rubbish that seeks to dramatically reduce single-use plastic packaging, notably by taxing it.
The move specifically aims to reduce the plastic cups and bottles used in the fast food and take-away sectors.
“If we add up all the waste generated in a year in Spain… it would be enough to fill up the Santiago Bernabeu stadium 2,900 times,” said Environment Minister Teresa Ribera of Real Madrid’s 80,000-seat stadium in the Spanish capital.
“And just the plastic packaging from our homes alone would fill up 45 such stadiums,” she added, after the cabinet meeting at which ministers approved an extensive draft law on waste and soil contaminants to comply with European directives.
In summer 2021, certain products will be banned, such as cotton buds, plastic straws and cutlery.
A special tax on plastic packaging will be brought in by January 2023, meaning consumers will pay a little more for any take-away that includes a plastic container or cup, which will be itemised on the bill.
“The special tax on single-use plastic containers will be indirect and will impact the manufacture, import or acquisition within the European Union of non-reusable plastic containers for use within the Spanish market,” a ministry statement said.
“This is a similar tax to that being implemented in other neighbouring countries such as the United Kingdom or Italy.”
In imposing a tax of 0.45 euros per kilogramme (2.2 pounds) of packaging, the government hopes to bring 724 million euros per year into the state coffers.

Coronavirus lockdown measures will finally be eased for people in Madrid and Barcelona from Monday, while elsewhere in Spain the first beaches are due to reopen.
Residents in the two cities can now meet in groups of up to 10 people in their homes or on the terraces of bars and restaurants.
The gates of the capital’s parks will also be reopened, and major museums will be able to receive a limited number of visitors.
The Madrid and Barcelona regions, the most populated in the country, and a large part of Castile-Leon in the northwest are moving into the first phase of Spain’s four-phase deconfinement programme, following what has been one of the strictest lockdowns in the world.
These regions have been on a slower deconfinement track as they bore the brunt of the pandemic in Spain, which has killed more than 28,700 people to date, one of the world’s highest tolls.
Everyone must continue to wear a mask, which is already compulsory in buildings and on public streets when it is not possible to keep a distance of two metres (six feet).
The rest of the country meanwhile — 22 million out of Spain’s 47 million inhabitants — is moving on to the second phase, which is expected to last until the end of June.
Restaurants may then reopen to a limited number of customers, and outings for walks or sports will no longer be limited to certain hours of the day.
As the summer heat arrives, beaches on the Atlantic Ocean coast and in much of Andalusia, as well as on the Balearic and Canary Islands, are open for swimming, subject to safety measures.
The health ministry recommends limiting the number of visitors to the beaches, creating boundaries and spacing umbrellas four metres apart.
Only locals will benefit for the time being. Travel between regions is still forbidden and foreigners arriving in Spain must quarantine for 14 days.
But the government plans to reopen the borders to foreign tourists in July.
The lockdown, in force since mid-March, has been among the most severe in the world.
In the first few weeks, Spaniards could hardly set foot outside and their children were kept indoors.
Many residents have become impatient over the government’s slow and cautious process of lifting the restrictions.
Thousands of people protested on Saturday by car in major Spanish cities at the call of the far-right Vox party.
Drivers honked their horns, waved Spanish flags and banged on pots and pans to denounce the management of the coronavirus crisis by the left-wing government of Pedro Sanchez.
Winger Arvin Appiah has disclosed the difference between English Championship football and the Spanish segunda division.
The Almeria forward, who joined from championship side Nottingham Forest last summer says Spanish football is more tactical and technical compared to the highly demanding English football.
“Championship football is a lot more physical than Spain, you know the demand of games in the Championship is a lot.” Appiah told Skysports.
“I feel in Spain it’s a lot more tactical, technical. The way we play with Guti, he came from Real Madrid, he’s obviously a technical player and he wants us to play out from the back, pass move…I’ve learnt so many things from him.”
The 19-year old England born Ghanaian has gradually found his way into manager Jose Maria Guti’s side after a difficult start to life in Spain.
“At first I wasn’t playing and I was getting used to the lifestyle, the culture and stuff but…when I started to play they were very welcoming, they really noticed what I brought to the team,” says Appiah.
He made 13 appearances in the Segunda division before the suspension of the league due to coronavirus.
Ghana forward Kevin Prince Boateng says he excelled at Spanish side Las Palmas because he arrived at the club without any pressure of achieving a set target.
The Besitktas forward revealed he joined the club without even knowing where it was located, but it was also a time where he had his reputation questioned for several reasons.
Boateng became an instant hit at the club despite spending just a season, where he emerged the club’s top scorer.
“You know why I was happy,” he responded to a question from Thierry Henry in an Instagram Live interview. “It was a point in my career where my character, my body, it was all at a point where it was in question,” he added.
“Everybody questioned me. They were like is he still good enough ? Is he crazy ? Because we have heard a lot of stories, we see a lot of thing.
“So I came there without a target. I just said I wanna play football again. Just wanna enjoy the game again and you know football becomes work and we sometimes lose the love.”
The 33-year old ended up in Las Palmas without knowing if there was a club on the canary Island but the Ghanaian wanted to use the opportunity to cleanse his dented reputation.
“I came there, the money wasn’t great. I never heard of the place before, to be honest,” he told Henry. “My agent called me and said we have to go to Las Palmas and I asked where is Las Palmas. He said the grand canaria.
“So I came there and I was like okay, let me just prove myself to everyone,” he conclude.
After an impressive campaign, Boateng left to join German side Eintracht Frankfurt.
Spanish club Atletico Madrid will be forced to offload some of its best players after the coronavirus pandemic, according to reports in Spain.
The Madrid club, according to the AS tabloid, are in line to sell Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Teye Partey and three other players in order to survive financially.
Despite having a contract that ends in 2023, the midfielder has a 50 million euros release clause in his contract which appeals to a lot of suitors.
According to AS, the Rojiblancos have penciled four players they will sell when all this COVID-19 crisis is over in order to survive and Thomas Partey is among them.
Thus, the Colchoneros will put 4 players on the market and not the least. Disappointing, Frenchman Thomas Lemar has hardly impressed since his arrival in Madrid will be part and Diego Costa
The Spanish Embassy in Ghana has held its “Wines from Spain: Cheers Spain†fair in Accra to offer professionals in the wine and hospitality industries in Ghana the opportunity to showcase their products and network with various wine distributors from Spain.
Head of Economic and Commercial Office at the Embassy, Miguel Higuera in an interview with GhanaWeb said that he is confident Ghanaian wine distributors will be granted export opportunities to other markets in the near future.
“Spain is currently one of the main wine exporters to Ghana and its presence is growing fast and the years ahead are full of excitement for Spanish wine makers and we are hopeful of collaborating with Ghanaian wine distributors and enthusiasts to continue to enjoy them,†he said.
He added that “we also want Ghanaians to understand Spanish wine and it is essential to realize that there are many different origins of wine and it is important to notice that there are as many as 70 denominations of wine experience and what benefits each of them has to offer.â€
Highlighting on the importance of the Spanish wine sector, Mr. Higuera said the country is one of the three biggest producers and exporters worldwide adding that, three Spanish wineries – Bodegas Valdepablo, Bodegas Illana and RM Rioja – are currently present in Ghana to introduce their products to Ghanaian distributors.
Ghanaian wine distributors who participated in the fair include Don Emilio, Marina Distribution, Prestige Trade, TT Brothers Limited and West Africa & Gulf Company Ltd.
Patrons were offered more than 80 wines from an array of Spanish regions.
Mr. Higuera used the occasion to thank all the wine and hospitality professionals who have promoted Spanish wines in Ghana.
