In an interview with Accra FM on February 13, 2025, she emphasized that genuine love isn’t measured by wealth. “You don’t need a fortune to express love. When someone has little yet still gives, it reflects the sincerity of their heart,” she noted.
‘When they have a lot, they will definitely give. But it’s the willingness to share, even with the little they have, that truly matters.”
Serwaa further highlighted, “If someone is kind and generous, even with the little that they have, they are willing to share. And I think for many women, that’s what we want, to be with a kind person,” she explained.
“That’s what I think every woman should aim for. That’s what I want. That’s what I have.”

Speaking at the Ignite Youth Empowerment Thanksgiving Service, Serwaa shared how the incident affected her and how a thoughtful gesture from her close friend, Obuobia Darko-Opoku, helped her navigate through a difficult time.
In an emotional moment at the event, Serwaa reflected on the depression she struggled with in the aftermath of the video’s release.
“I was depressed and crying at home that day,” she revealed. “Then she came and said, ‘Let’s go and buy ice cream.’ I wasn’t talking to anyone, but she came to pick me up. She took me to Osu, and I remember trying to wear a cap. She asked, ‘Why? Why do you want to hide your face? Let’s go.’ She bought me a big cup of ice cream and said, ‘Today, eat all the ice cream you can.’”
Serwaa expressed deep gratitude for Obuobia’s support, saying, “And she said she would take me out for lunch the next day. Somehow, we both ended up cancelling. But Auntie Obuobia, thank you because I never told you how grateful I was for that ride. It did me a lot of good.”
The video, which surfaced on April 2, 2025, ignited a media frenzy and led to an independent investigation by Serwaa’s employer, EIB Network. That’s exactly what happened to me last year.”
Serwaa also praised Obuobia for her consistent kindness, describing her as “an amazing person” and expressing her love and appreciation. “She supports me and my sister and is always advising me. So thank you. I love you very much,” Serwaa said.

On October 14, 2024, Blogger Nkonkonsa shared a screenshot of a video showing Serwaa in handcuffs and being escorted by police, claiming she had been arrested.
The post quickly ignited a flurry of reactions on social media. However, the Ghana Police Service soon clarified that the reports were inaccurate, revealing that the video was actually from a music video shoot featuring Piesie Esther.
During an interview on GhOne TV on October 18, 2024, the two opened up about how the rumours spread and how they felt about the situation.
Piesie Esther recalled her shock upon first learning about the news while she was live on a radio station.
“By the time I came out of the studio, there were a lot of calls and messages. Then I started flipping out, ‘What is going on here?’” she said.
She was puzzled about how the picture ended up on a popular blog site. Concerned for her friend, Piesie Esther immediately called Serwaa Amihere to check on her.
When asked by the interviewer if she was bothered by the rumours of her arrest, Serwaa confidently said she wasn’t, stressing, “Because I was not.”

Media personality Serwaa Amihere has expressed her concerns regarding the conflicting prophecies from various prophets in the country about the upcoming 2024 general elections.
The GhOne journalist lamented the inconsistency in their claims, questioning why some prophets provide contradictory predictions.
Serwaa highlighted the troubling nature of these prophecies, given that they are said to originate from God, who is typically viewed as consistent and trustworthy.
She referenced Rev. Owusu Bempah‘s statement during a prayer meeting with John Mahama, where the prophet declared, “While the prayer was ongoing, this is what God told me. Because of his [Mahama’s] good heart, God has returned the country into his hands.”
In her post on X, she asked, “How are prophets saying different things about the election from the same God? Asem B3n Koraaa ni …”
This statement comes after Prophet Owusu Bempah laid hands on Mahama during the NDC’s meeting with the clergy on October 1, 2024, claiming that God would favor Mahama and grant him his wish for a second presidential term.
However, Owusu Bempah had previously stated that there was no way Mahama would become president again, according to divine revelation.
These inconsistencies have sparked criticism from a segment of the public.
Ghanaian media personality Serwaa Amihere recently praised the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy, calling it President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s “most significant legacy.”
On August 29, 2024, Amihere took to X to share her views on the policy’s impact, noting that her role as the anchor of GHONE TV’s “Voters’ Connect” has allowed her to gauge strong public support for the initiative.
Amihere pointed out that her conversations with a diverse range of Ghanaians, including market vendors and commercial drivers, suggest that many are inclined to vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming 2024 elections, largely due to the Free SHS program.
Despite acknowledging the policy’s implementation challenges, she emphasized its positive effects on many Ghanaian families.
Her comments sparked varied responses online.
Some praised the government for the initiative, while others highlighted the difficulties the policy has faced.
Launched in September 2017, the Free SHS program aims to eliminate financial barriers to secondary education in Ghana.
By covering all fees sanctioned by the Ghana Education Service (GES), including tuition and textbooks, the policy ensures that every student admitted to a public Senior High School through the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) can receive a free education.
This approach is intended to ease the financial burden on families and broaden access to education across the country.
GHOne presenter, Serwaa Amihere, had an engagement with Ghanaian music producer Kwabena Ofei-Kwadey Nkrumah, professionally known as Kobby Spiky, who recently secured a significant legal victory in a copyright infringement case against the Confederation of African Football (CAF), according to recent reports.
The lawsuit, which dates back to 2022, centered on Spiky’s claim that CAF had used his music beat titled “Okomfo Anokye” without authorization for promotional purposes.
After a lengthy two-year legal battle, Justice Emmanuel Lodoh presided over the case and ruled in favor of Spiky.
While CAF acknowledged using Spiky’s work for promotional activities, they maintained that there was no commercial exploitation involved. However, the court sided with Spiky, ordering CAF to remove all unauthorized materials featuring his music from their social media platforms.
As part of the ruling, Kobby Spiky was awarded damages amounting to USD 250,000 in Ghanaian cedis, reflecting the impact and value of his creative work.
Following the court’s ruling, Serwaa Amihere who interviewed Spikey jokingly claimed a part of the money awarded to him by the court with the justification that they are friends.
“This man here is $250,000 richer and he is my friend. And so I am entitled to some part of the money,” she said amidst inconsistent laughter.
She then asked, “Spiky, are we not friends?” and he responded, “Yes, we are.”
Reacting to the court’s decision, Spiky expressed satisfaction with the outcome and highlighted its broader significance for Ghana’s creative arts industry.
“This victory isn’t just for me; it’s a win, especially for all creatives and for young Ghanaians who have lost faith in the system,” he remarked.
Media personality, Serwaa Amihere, in a recent interview with Ghanaian chef Ebenezer Smith, popularly known as Chef Smith, who has found himself in a scandal after attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the longest individual cooking marathon, sought to find out the rationale behind his unsanctioned attempt.
Chef Smith claimed to have cooked for 802 hours and 25 minutes, declaring himself the new record holder at a press conference at La Palm Hotel in Accra on July 2, 2024.
However, Guinness World Records (GWR) quickly refuted his claim, stating that the certificate he presented was fake and that the actual record holder is Alan Fisher from Ireland. Madalyn Bielfield, GWR’s PR Manager, confirmed, “He does not hold the GWR title and that is not our certificate.”
In the wake of the scandal, Chef Smith publicly apologized to Ghanaians, including the former First Lady Lordina Mahama and the president, for his deceitful actions.
Serwaa Amihere did not take this lightly as she called him a scammer. She also quizzed what may have prompted him to embark on a journey he had not been given the authorisation to.
“So you admit you are a scammer. You are a scammer because how can you do this,” Serwaa Amihere stated.
In a tearful video circulating on social media, Chef Smith explained that although he had registered for the record attempt, he did not receive approval from GWR. Chef Smith noted that his desire to showcase his culinary talent and passion, driven by a quest for fame, pushed him to make the attempt.
Amid the controversy, Chef Smith was arrested for fraud but has since been released. Additionally, Peter Agbovi, the General Secretary of the Chefs Association of Ghana, clarified that while Chef Smith is a professional, he is not a registered member of their association, further complicating his reputation within the culinary community.

A few hours after media personality Serwaa Amihere rendered an apology to Ghanaians and her family regarding a bedroom video of hers with an ex-boyfriend that was leaked online early this month, she shared her daily motivation quotes that revolve around accepting one’s faults.
This text emphasizes the importance of being open-minded and willing to change one’s beliefs or actions when presented with new evidence or a better alternative.
It highlights that seeking truth and wisdom should be prioritized over maintaining consistency for its own sake.
The quotes from Marcus Aurelius and Emerson suggest that being willing to change one’s mind is a sign of intelligence and growth, not something to be ashamed of.
Overall, the essence of the text is to encourage critical thinking, openness to new ideas, and a willingness to evolve intellectually.
“No one should be ashamed at changing his mind—that’s what the mind is for. A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds,” Emerson said, “adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines.” That’s why we go to such lengths to learn and expose ourselves to wisdom. It would be embarrassing if we didn’t end up finding out if we were wrong in the past.
“Remember: you’re a free agent. When someone points out a legitimate flaw in your belief or in your actions, they’re not criticizing you. They’re presenting a better alternative. Accept it,” portions of the message read.

Broadcast journalist Serwaa Amihere has broken her silence for the first time since an intimate video of her surfaced on social media.
The video depicts the media personality in bed with a man identified as Henry Fitz.
Speculations online suggest that the video was recorded in 2019, prior to the man’s marriage. However, there are claims that Serwaa attended the man’s wedding as a guest and later engaged in an affair with him.
This narrative has sparked anger from many who have condemned and criticized her, given her prominent position in society.
Questions have also been raised about why someone of her stature would allow such intimate moments to be recorded.

“In all, I have learnt deeply useful lessons for the future,” she noted.
Following public outcry and calls for her suspension or dismissal from her role at EIB Network, broadcast journalist Serwaa Amihere’s employer stated that it is conducting an independent investigation into the matter.
The company also acknowledged that the police are investigating the incident and have made arrests in connection with the case.
Despite this, Serwaa has not appeared on television recently, leading to speculation about her future at the network.

The court has allegedly dismissed the case involving Serwaa Amihere, a prominent figure in Ghana’s media scene, regarding a romantic video.
Allegations of blackmail against her former partner Henry Fitz and his associates have been withdrawn by the court.
Initially, reports spread widely accusing them of blackmail, which led to a dramatic police pursuit resulting in the arrest of Edem Savior Ketti and Henry Fitz’s spouse.
Candylove Kwaykewaa Ababio was apprehended at an undisclosed location, while Edem Savior Ketti was found at his hideout in Dzorwulu.
However, Henry Fitz managed to evade capture.
In a surprising turn of events, the court dismissed Serwaa Amihere’s lawsuit against Henry Fitz, his associate, and his spouse due to a lack of substantial evidence.
This news was relayed by Trouble Carlos, a well-known TikToker and YouTuber, on his official channel, bringing an end to this high-profile legal saga.
Renowned media personality Serwaa Amihere recently emphasized the importance of bringing joy into others’ lives, regardless of the difficulties they may face.
In a TikTok live session observed by GhanaWeb, she highlighted the prevalent cruelty in today’s world that often robs people of their happiness and urged individuals to prioritize uplifting others’ spirits.
“Have you made someone smile today? If not, I think you really should,” Serwaa urged during her session.
“There’s so much going on globally, so much cruelty. People simply need a reason to smile. If you’re in a position to bring joy, whether through kindness or uplifting words, please do so. Be the reason someone smiles today.”
Her message resonates strongly in a world where kindness and positivity can make a significant difference in people’s lives.
Renowned fashion designer Adu Amani, known for the brand ‘Ama Ni,’ has weighed in on the recent criticism directed at broadcasters Serwaa Amihere and Nana Aba Anamoah.
Amani suggests that these broadcasters faced a shift in public perception when they began holding politicians accountable across various platforms.
In a detailed Facebook post now deleted, Amani expressed disappointment that instead of being commended for their fearless journalism, Serwaa and Nana Aba are facing criticism. Despite their efforts, they find themselves under scrutiny.
“Nobody wants to talk about the fact that these two have been a target for a long time due to how they interviewed politicians and their loudness,” said Amani. “The agenda is to silence you when you touch politicians irrespective of gender. They just fell into a trap. People were looking forward to silencing them especially because they are women, a woman in our society should shut up and be humble, they crossed the line.”
Amani’s comments come amid the circulation of an intimate video involving Serwaa Amihere. Since then, both Serwaa and Nana Aba have faced criticism and mockery.
Reflecting on the situation, Amani expressed concern about the harsh criticism directed towards Serwaa, emphasizing that everyone makes mistakes and deserves comfort during challenging times.
“Yes, they mess up, we all do at some point in our lives. We face the consequences… Maybe I’m not sleeping with men but you don’t know how I live my life. We all have things we didn’t work for but we think it is by Grace and God’s favour when we actually stole them or lied to get them.”
Amani emphasized the importance of empathy and support, urging people to consider how they would want to be treated if they were in Serwaa’s situation.
“We all have our differences so you are free to say anything you want just as I want to equally speak out on this. But in your low times, having people to comfort you is priceless and it may look to you that people are supporting their actions but no, everybody here has someone who will not leave them on the ground,” Amani noted as she questioned the motive behind the incessant backlash.
“What is your end game? Do you want her sacked etc.? It sounds like some of you even want her out of the world. I mean some of you, it is witchcraft. Because I have seen your pastors/politicians etc. exposed yet you practised silence is golden.
“And before you call people out for sympathizing with her, ask yourself, ‘Today if I were in her shoes, who would sympathize with me?’ Should we stone her to death because her video is out?” Amani asked.

Host of Good Evening Ghana show on Metro TV, Paul Adom-Otchere, has waded into the conversation surrounding the leaked romantic video involving media personality, Serwaa Amihere and Businessman Henry Fitz.
In the latest episode of the show, Paul gave an illustration of a cross examination Serwaa Amihere might face by lawyers of Henry Fitz in court.
Henry Fitz, a former lover of media personality, Serwaa Amihere, together with two others, have been dragged to court by The Republic over the non-consensual sharing of an intimate image.
In a writ sighted by The Independent Ghana, Henry Fitz’s actions and those of Edem Saviour Ketti and Candylove Kwakyewaa Ababio are contrary to Section 23(1) of the Criminal Offences Act 1960 (ACT29) and Section 67(1) (2) of Cybersecurity Act 2020 Act 1038.
But a police report reveals that the three individuals did demand an amount of GH¢20,000.00 to be sent within a minute, or else Serwaa’s nude videos would be posted.
On the 3rd of December 2023, Serwaa Amihere’s makeup artist, Colleen Nyin Affel-Som called to inform her that someone had texted her demanding an amount of GHC5,000.00 with the pretext that he had her nude pictures.
The said amount should be sent to the MTN mobile money account number →0558247205, which bears the name Edem Saviour Ketti.
Serwaa is said to have sent the money, yet still, the group went ahead and posted nude pictures of the media personality on social media handles.
According to Paul Adom-Otchere, one of the questions Serwaa may answer would be if she filed a complaint to the police when she was blackmailed.
He noted that if Serwaa had failed to file a complaint, she could be found complicit.
Nana Appiah Mensah, often referred to as NAM1, has expressed his perspective, stating that he perceives nothing inappropriate about Serwaa’s decision to reminisce about intimate moments she shared with her partner.
The CEO of the now-defunct Menzgold, diverging from the widespread criticism Serwaa has faced since the leak of her private video, believes that it’s common for such videos to be kept and valued.
NAM1 describes these intimate moments as invaluable and considers it normal for someone to share such a video with their trusted partner.
“Why do we take photos & videos? Is it not to have and to hold cherished & priceless moments? Just so, we can relive the moments which cannot easily be re-enacted? What exactly is wrong if a single lady shares an erotic moment with a polygamous man via an electronic medium? NAM1 wrote on Twitter on April 10.
The former head of Menzgold made his remarks in response to the widespread circulation of an intimate video involving Serwaa Amihere and her former partner, who is reported to be married, prompting legal action against three individuals, including the mentioned partner.
Amidst the criticisms and the legal proceedings, Serwaa’s ex-partner, Henry Fitz, sought to clarify how he came into possession of the video, asserting that it was initially sent to him by Serwaa. He also denied any involvement in the tape’s leakage.
Recalling the incident, it is evident that Serwaa Amihere was the one recording the video that later went viral.

Despite Serwaa Amihere’s compliance with the initial demands, the accused proceeded to publish the video.

Recent reports indicate that Serwaa Amihere, a prominent television personality, has parted ways with one of her ambassadorial contracts.
The deal in question was with @TLamborghini_ED, the franchise owners of Lamborghini Energy drink in Ghana.
Serwaa Amihere’s association with the Energy Drink company began in September 2023 when she was announced as their brand ambassador.
Her arrival at the announcement venue in a Lamborghini sparked significant online conversations.
Addressing speculations about the car, Serwaa clarified that it was a prop provided by the franchise owners, emphasising that she did not own the vehicle herself.
However, according to blogger NYDjLive, there are indications that Serwaa Amihere has lost this ambassadorial deal.
” Reports indicate that Serwaa Amihere has lost her ambassadorial deal, you can check her social media page to confirm and that of lamborghini energy drink, you won’t find any records. I don’t know if its because of her leaked video or not but reports indicate she has lost her ambassadorial deal for lamborghini energy drink,” Blogger NYDjLive claims.
The reasons behind this decision remain unclear, with speculation ranging from the leak of an intimate video involving her and Henry Fitz to potential company strategies.
In response to these developments, Serwaa Amihere has taken legal action by reporting Henry Fitz to the Police, with the case now under state prosecution.

He claimed that Serwaa saw him as a gold mine and brought in all her tools to exploit him.
Henry further stated in his post that his wife later discovered his affair with Serwaa, which almost led to the end of his marriage.
He also warned Serwaa to stop attacking him, threatening to retaliate fiercely if she continued.
