Bernard Owusu has been chosen as the new chairman of the Trades Union Congress (TUC) of Ghana.
Before his recent election, Owusu served as the National Chairman of the General Transport Petroleum Chemical Workers Union (GTPCWU).
He succeeds Alex Opoku-Nyarko, who was seeking re-election.
In the election, Owusu secured 347 votes, overcoming Opoku-Nyarko in the bid for the chairmanship.
Additionally, Deputy Secretary General Joshua Ansah will step into the role of Secretary General, succeeding Dr. Anthony Yaw Baah.
