The Director of the Savannah Regional Fisheries Commission, became the victim of an armed robbery attack which resulted in the unfortunate loss of his official vehicle.
Reports indicate that the alarming incident took place right outside his residence in the Bi-water suburb of the Northern Regional capital, when the victim had just returned home when the terrifying ordeal unfolded.
Both the local community and authorities have been left in a state of shock as a result of the incident.
This is not the first of its kind happening. In July 2019, a Toyota Hilux pickup used by the then Savannah Regional Minister, Salifu Adam Braimah was also snatched at gunpoint in a similar fashion.
Reports indicate that two armed robbers, brandishing firearms, approached him and took control of the situation, compelling the Savannah Regional Director to relinquish his Toyota Hilux double cabin Pickup bearing the license plate GV 301-22.
Meanwhile, the Tamale Police have launched an intensive search for the suspects, leaving no stone unturned in their quest to apprehend them and retrieve the stolen vehicle.
