Be patient with Mahama, don’t pressure him – Owusu-Bempah to Ghanaians

Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries, Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah, has called on Ghanaians to exercise patience with President-elect John Dramani Mahama as he assumes office on January 7, 2025.

Speaking during the December 31, 2024, Watchnight Service at his church, Rev. Owusu-Bempah urged citizens to give the incoming leader the time and space to implement policies aimed at restoring the country’s development and prosperity.

“Our incoming President will be sworn in on January 7 to begin his work. I beg you to have patience with him. Let us not exert pressure on him. Things will improve, but it will take time. When you are resetting things, it requires patience. Let us allow him to press the right buttons to reset the nation,” he said.

He praised the President-elect’s character and intentions, emphasizing his potential to transform the nation.

“He has a good heart, deep love for Ghana, love for mankind, and humility. He has noble intentions for Ghana and will elevate the nation to a higher pedestal. We should be patient with him, and we will all witness how he will develop the country and improve life for all Ghanaians,” Rev. Owusu-Bempah added.

Ghana is gearing up for the inauguration of President-elect John Dramani Mahama, who will be sworn in for his second term on January 7, 2025.

In his New Year message to the nation, the President-elect outlined a vision centered on economic transformation, entrepreneurship, and innovation. He pledged to foster a lean and efficient government, combat corruption and overspending, and prioritize youth empowerment.

“We are committed to removing barriers, simplifying processes, and providing the necessary resources,” President-elect Mahama stated, adding that his administration would focus on creating jobs, supporting business owners, and ensuring equity and shared prosperity for all Ghanaians.

  • Whatever Owusu-Bempah is going through is a punishment from God, I warned him – A Plus

Whatever Owusu-Bempah is going through is a punishment from God, I warned him – A Plus

Ghanaian musician and politician Kwame Asare Obeng, known as Kwame A Plus, recently shared insights from a discussion he had with Reverend Isaac Owusu-Bempah, the head of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, about the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

A Plus recounted advising Reverend Owusu-Bempah against his affiliation with the NPP, expressing his belief that it was not a wise choice for him. However, the reverend chose to ignore this advice and continued his support for the party.

During his appearance on UTV’s United Showbiz on Saturday, October 12, 2024, A Plus reflected on how he had previously cautioned Owusu-Bempah about the party’s unsuitability for him.

He further suggested that the challenges Owusu-Bempah is currently experiencing may be a form of divine punishment, noting that the reverend came to understand this truth following his arrest and subsequent detention.

“The truth is that Rev. Owusu-Bempah is my elder brother, but it is God who has punished him for whatever is happening in his life. I warned him against these people (NPP), that they are not good. But he sat me down and lectured me on the best government for this country.

When he was arrested, he realised that… I told my brother not to follow these people; I prophesied to him that these people are not good, but he still insisted. The day he was remanded into police custody, I wanted to call him and congratulate him that my prophecy had come to pass,” A Plus recounted.

A Plus also expressed his support for Owusu-Bempah’s recent prophecy, which predicts that National Democratic Congress flagbearer John Dramani Mahama will win the December 7 elections.

“As for that prophecy, I believe it. He should keep giving that prophecy. I won’t believe any other prophecy apart from a prophecy about John Mahama winning,” he said.

A Plus also voiced his endorsement of Owusu-Bempah’s recent prediction, which forecasts that John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress, will emerge victorious in the upcoming elections on December 7.

I told Owusu-Bempah NPP will betray him, but he was stubborn – A Plus

Ghanaian musician and politician Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as Kwame A Plus, recently shared details of a conversation he had with Reverend Isaac Owusu-Bempah, leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, regarding the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

A Plus revealed that he had cautioned Reverend Owusu-Bempah against aligning with the NPP, believing it wasn’t the right party for him. Despite his warnings, the clergyman chose to continue supporting the party.

He explained that he had previously advised Owusu-Bempah against following the NPP, suggesting they weren’t suitable for him. A Plus believes that the challenges the reverend has faced are a form of divine punishment for ignoring this advice.

A Plus said, “The truth is that Rev. Owusu-Bempah is my big brother, but it is God who has punished him for whatever is going on in his life. I warned him against these people (NPP), that they are not good. But he sat me down and lectured me on the best government for this country. When he was arrested, he realized that… I told my brother not to follow these people; I prophesied to him that these people are not good, but he still insisted. The day he was remanded into police custody, I wanted to call him and congratulate him that my prophecy had come to pass.”

A Plus also expressed support for a recent prophecy by Owusu-Bempah, which predicted that National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Dramani Mahama would win the upcoming December 7 elections.

“As for that prophecy, I believe it. He should keep giving that prophecy. I won’t believe any other prophecy apart from a prophecy that is about John Mahama,” he emphasized on the October 12 edition of United Showbiz.

  • No one can bring down NPP; not even Owusu-Bempah – Wontumi

No one can bring down NPP; not even Owusu-Bempah – Wontumi

the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has dismissed claims made by the founder and leader of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah.

Rev. Owusu-Bempah recently asserted that he could topple the NPP and proclaimed that God has chosen former President John Mahama as Ghana’s next leader.

The controversial pastor, renowned for his past predictions favoring the NPP, has stirred public interest with his recent declaration that he serves as a vital link to the presidency in Ghana.

In an interview with Okay FM, he stated, “I am very humbled and a man of God. I say this to the glory of God – no one can sit on the presidential throne without my involvement,” he said in an interview on Okay FM.

These remarks have sparked irritation in Chairman Wontumi, who firmly believes that Rev. Owusu-Bempah does not dictate the NPP’s future.

He contended, “Some people are making it look like the NPP can never win power without their prophesies, but that is not true, it can never be true…does he (Owusu-Bempah) think he is the only one who has invested in the party? I dare you, I will never stop at anything, he should get it clear…,” he warned.

“What has the NPP done to you? We can’t force you to be an NPP member, but he must remember that just like Jonah, he will be forced to go to Nineveh even if he doesn’t want to because it is the plans of God that will come to pass, so he (Owusu-Bempah) should stop behaving like he eats with God in one bowl…,” he said.

Additionally, Wontumi labeled Rev. Owusu-Bempah a ‘Pharisee’ for his failure to criticize individuals such as Kelvin Taylor, who have openly spoken against him and members of the Northern community.

  • Ablakwa is against Mahama; he doesn’t want his win – Owusu- Bempah

Ablakwa is against Mahama; he doesn’t want his win – Owusu- Bempah

Deputy Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ernest Owusu-Bempah, has accused Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, of working against the presidential ambitions of John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, for personal political gain.

Speaking during an interview on Onua TV on October 2, 2024, Owusu-Bempah alleged that Ablakwa is quietly manoeuvring to position himself as a future leader within the NDC by subtly hoping for Mahama’s defeat in the upcoming election.

He pointed to Ablakwa’s public actions and statements, claiming they demonstrate a focus on advancing his own political career rather than fully backing Mahama’s campaign.

Owusu-Bempah urged the public to examine Ablakwa’s previous comments, asserting that the MP has consistently refrained from expressing clear support or praise for Mahama.

According to Owusu-Bempah, this apparent lack of endorsement suggests Ablakwa may have a hidden agenda aimed at his own future leadership aspirations within the party.

“Okudzeto Ablakwa is not supporting John Mahama. He is building his own political career for John Mahama to lose so that he can take over.

“Okudzeto Ablakwa doesn’t support John Mahama, and the inner circles within the NDC know about that. Have you heard of him promoting John Mahama before?

Go back and check the archives. Check his statements in the public domain. If he has praised Mahama before, I will stop politics. Go and check the archives,” he said.

  • Owusu-Bempah’s prophecy over Mahama born out of anger and not from God – NPP’s Kate Gyamfuah

Owusu-Bempah’s prophecy over Mahama born out of anger and not from God – NPP’s Kate Gyamfuah

National Women’s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kate Gyamfuah, has dismissed a recent prophecy by Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah, founder of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, regarding the 2024 presidential election.

She claimed that Rev. Owusu-Bempah’s declaration, which identified John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, as the divinely chosen winner of the election, was driven by personal anger rather than genuine divine revelation. Gyamfuah believes the prophecy did not come from God.

“I know him; I know the pain, the prayers, and the fasting he has taken us through. He has worked a lot for the NPP, so he is not happy with what happened, as well as some people going on radio to attack him.

So, I firmly believe that it was anger; it was an anger-induced prophecy and not a prophecy from within him or having been told by God.

I won’t disrespect him, but that is what my soul tells me,” she stated during an interview on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

Rev. Owusu-Bempah, who used to be a staunch supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), gave his prophecy during Mahama’s fellowship with the clergy, which was held on October 1, 2024, at DE ICON Event Centre, East Legon.

“When the prayer was going on, this is what the Lord has told me. Because of the good heart of this man, the Lord has entrusted the country in his hands again. Nothing can stop it,” he stated.

But according to Kate Gyamfuah, Rev. Owusu-Bempah’s proclamation is motivated by anger and pain and is therefore subject to bias.

“From here, I am going to look for him and tell him to let bygones be bygones…” she stated.

  • You will pay dearly for your actions on December 7 – Owusu-Bempah to NPP

You will pay dearly for your actions on December 7 – Owusu-Bempah to NPP

The leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Reverend Isaac Owusu-Bempah, has issued a warning to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) regarding attacks on his character by certain party members.

He stated that the NPP will face significant consequences in the upcoming December 7 general elections as a result of these unprovoked assaults.

An NPP member made disparaging remarks about Rev. Owusu-Bempah during a segment on Wontumi TV. The reverend is known for his support of the party and for accurately predicting its victories in the 2016 and 2020 elections.

The NPP member alleged that Rev. Owusu-Bempah had persuaded Archbishop Duncan-Williams and Rev. Dr. Steve Wengam to oppose Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng and undermine the construction of the National Cathedral.

During a sermon to his congregation on September 22, 2024, Rev. Owusu-Bempah shared that he had not planned to respond to the verbal attacks until he saw a video of Apostle Amoako Atta expressing concern over the attacks from NPP supporters against him.

“They accused me of being the devil. I don’t know what sin I’ve committed against these people. How? It is very sad. I decided not to speak about it, but after seeing how angry Apostle Amoako Atta was and his questioning of the conduct of some NPP supporters, I decided to break my silence. Some individuals have apologized to me, but I expected the same man who made the statements to go on the same TV station and apologize. Up until now, I have not heard anything.”

The man of God conveyed his pain regarding the false accusations and insults aimed at him.

“In fact, the man insulted me thoroughly, even saying that it is the devil who speaks to me, not God. And this is coming from a known NPP supporter, speaking on an NPP-affiliated TV station. The saddest part is that everything they said about me was false. The pastor they claimed I met with – I don’t even know him. If he were standing right in front of me, I wouldn’t be able to identify him.

“I’m not part of the pastors on the National Cathedral Board; I don’t even know where the cathedral is being constructed. But still, you sit somewhere and insult me. I’ve never had any discussions with these senior men of God regarding the National Cathedral, yet I’m being vilified.”

Rev. Owusu-Bempah subsequently warned that the NPP will suffer serious repercussions for their actions against him in the forthcoming elections.

“Apostle Amoako Atta warned that this issue will work against the NPP, and they should be careful. What they’ve done to me will really work against them. We’re all in Ghana, and we shall see. You offended me, and I was hurt by it. You apologized, and now you’ve turned around and started again with the lies.

“We are all here in Ghana. I am not God, but I am a prophet of God. Both heaven and earth bear witness that I am indeed a prophet of God. We have about 76 days to the elections, and we shall see! Why are members of the NPP insulting and falsely accusing me of successfully fighting to block the National Cathedral project from proceeding,” Rev. Owusu-Bempah asked?

  • Damapre tried to kill me through lethal injection – Owusu-Bempah alleges

Damapre tried to kill me through lethal injection – Owusu-Bempah alleges

Founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Reverend Isaac Owusu-Bempah, has accused the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, of orchestrating an attempt on his life following his arrest in September 2021.

Speaking to his congregation on Sunday, September 22, 2024, Rev. Owusu-Bempah alleged that during his arrest by masked police officers, there was an attempt to inject him with a lethal substance, which he fought off.

He questioned why members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) continue to insult him, saying, “Why do NPP members keep insulting me? What wrong have I done them? You made the IGP arrest me and wanted to kill me; the IGP was going to kill me. Do you know the IGP was going to kill me? He was going to inject me to death, and Nana Akufo-Addo did nothing to him. He hasn’t been questioned on who the police officers that came for me deep in the night were,” he told his church.

Rev. Owusu-Bempah claimed to have evidence of the incident, stating that eight masked officers came for him while he was in custody.

“While in the cells, I saw the police officers come for me and put me in a pickup. I was placed between them with handcuffs on my hands. One of them sitting in front brought out a syringe and wanted to inject me… I held it tight, leading to a struggle, and as a result, the syringe broke. I kept shouting for those in the cells to hear me. Even one police officer who recently came home to corroborate this heard me,” he stated.

He further explained that he had instructed his brother and junior pastors to keep watch at the police station while he remained detained. In an additional claim, he revealed that the vehicle registration number on the pickup was traced back to an old Honda Accord through a search at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA).

“Do you know that our search at DVLA revealed that the number on the pickup belonged to an old Honda Accord? I am told that is the car that Dampare uses to pick people up and kill them. Dampare wants to kill me; can you, Dampare, kill me?” he questioned.

He recalled a conversation with former NPP General Secretary John Boadu at the time of his arrest.

“When I was being sent to the cells, John Boadu came there, and I asked him why they were treating me like that. He told me I shouldn’t be worried and that something would be done about it the next day. I called Chairman Wontumi, and he said the leaders are angry with me, and that it is only [Rev] Victor Kusi Boateng who can cause my release. So I said, what? Chairman, is that what you are telling me?

“I was detained for four days, but I still forgave you after your people came to beg me, and today you are allowing your people to attack me on the radio and lying about me conspiring with Stephen Wingam, leader of Assemblies of God and Archbishop, where? Don’t you know we are in an election year? Don’t you know God brought you to power through me in 2016 and 2020?” he questioned.

Rev. Owusu-Bempah mentioned that despite being detained for four days, he forgave the party members who came to apologize to him. However, he expressed frustration over ongoing radio attacks and false accusations linking him to conspiracies.

In a warning to the NPP, he urged them to stop attacking him, cautioning that their actions could negatively impact the party’s chances in upcoming elections.

  • Stop tarnishing Owusu-Bempah’s name – Apostle Amoako Atta to Bawumia, NPP

Stop tarnishing Owusu-Bempah’s name – Apostle Amoako Atta to Bawumia, NPP

Leader of the Lord’s Parliament Chapel International, Apostle Francis Amoako Atta, has issued a stern warning to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) regarding what he perceives as an attack on his fellow pastor, the founder of Glorious Word Power Ministries International.

“Now I want to warn the NPP, I want to warn you people that Owusu-Bempah has become your target. It won’t be a blessing for you. The man is a prophet no matter what. Someone who used his church to gamble for you in 2016, for you to give him the red carpet, why are you now insulting him? Why do you want to drag Owusu-Bempah into the gutters, why?” he questioned angrily.

He pointed out that both the NPP and their 2024 presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, are mistreating Owusu-Bempah, a move he considers unjust.

Speaking to his congregation on Sunday, September 15, 2024, Amoako Atta remarked that if the party now has another pastor for guidance, they should allow Mr Owusu-Bempah to be left in peace.

“In 2020, he stood up for you, so when things like this happen, it seems ungratefulness has set in. No matter what, Owusu-Bempah is a prophet, so give him every respect he deserves. Those who are going on the radio to insult him should stop because it won’t help.

“I know Bawumia is not like that because Bawumia went to his church. This man has fought earnestly. In 2016, no prophet could come out, but this man stood up and said things that God didn’t even say just to help you people,” he lamented.

Mr Amoako Atta emphasized that targeting Owusu-Bempah, a man of God, would come with consequences for the party. He highlighted the prophet’s support for the NPP since 2016 and lamented how the party appears to be abandoning him now.

“So, stop that and leave him alone. If you have a different pastor, go on because in every dispensation, God raises a man. Owusu-Bempah cannot singlehandedly continue just like that. Give him respect. It is disheartening and I am pained so much it has been on my mind for a long time so let me say it for you to go and tell your leaders.

He also addressed Dr. Bawumia directly, urging him to stop the apparent disrespect towards Owusu-Bempah, saying, “You respect men of God so much, Dr. Bawumia, stop this.”

These remarks follow rumors that Owusu-Bempah had taken money from former President John Mahama and was allegedly working with other pastors to derail Bawumia’s presidential bid after he submitted his nomination forms to Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng for prayers.

Mr Owusu-Bempah has since denied these allegations as false.

  • Akufo-Addo has done a great job despite our differences – Owusu-Bempah

Akufo-Addo has done a great job despite our differences – Owusu-Bempah

Founder and Leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministry, Reverend Isaac Owusu-Bempah, has praised President Akufo-Addo’s Free SHS initiative, despite admitting to harboring grievances against him.

Addressing his congregation during a church service on Sunday, July 14, Reverend Isaac Owusu-Bempah acknowledged that despite his differences with President Akufo-Addo, he recognizes the president’s accomplishments surpassing those of previous governments.

Highlighting the Free SHS policy as a prime example, Owusu-Bempah asserted that this initiative, which he claims to have prophesied about, stands as evidence of the president’s effective governance.

“Honestly, Nana Akufo-Addo has done a great job. Although I have a grudge against him, I must admit that he has performed well in his role. Do you remember when God spoke through me to him, mentioning something about fruits? It has come to pass. Some prominent people even pointed this out to me and I think that the Free SHS initiative he introduced is one of those fruits, and it has been a tremendous help to many.

“Recently, I even saw Kwasi Pratt Jnr. commending the president for the free education he implemented. I hear it has improved significantly. Nana Akufo-Addo has done well. In fact, if we talk about presidents who have performed admirably, President Kufuor, Nana Akufo-Addo, President Rawlings, and our father Mahama have all done commendable work. However, to be honest, Nana Akufo-Addo surpasses them all. Let’s not deny that truth,” he emphasised in Twi.

He further stated that “…He is my old man, and although I used to fight with him, I don’t anymore. I still acknowledge that he has done a great job!”

Meanwhile, Rev. Owusu-Bempah asserted that a delegation from US President Joe Biden’s camp has sought his support for the upcoming 2024 US presidential elections.

He also expressed his current prayers for Donald Trump’s victory in the elections.

  • Stop labeling me as an NPP pastor – Owusu-Bempah

Stop labeling me as an NPP pastor – Owusu-Bempah

Leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries International (GWPMI), Isaac Owusu-Bempah, has emphasized that he maintains no political allegiance.

Owusu-Bempah clarified that labeling him as a supporter of any particular political party, especially the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), is inaccurate, asserting that he harbors no animosity towards any political faction in the nation.

“Some have tagged me as an NPP pastor, I am not. What it is, is that whatever God reveals to me is what I state, as in, I go where the revelation leads me. Just because a pastor releases a prophecy that does not go in your party’s favour; that doesn’t mean he hates you.

“I do not hate NDC or NPP but what I see is what I speak to. I came out myself this year to pronounce that I will not speak on who will win the 2024 polls. I know it but won’t divulge it.

“I will meet with whoever will win the polls, if they listen to directions that I will give, they will be victorious,” he added.

During an interview on Okay FM, where he reiterated recent criticism directed at President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the religious figure known as the Nation’s Prophet emphasized that he merely conveys what he perceives as revelations from God.

He continued to criticize former ally President Akufo-Addo, highlighting that since private channels of communication have been cut off, he will continue to voice his concerns publicly.

He accused Akufo-Addo of relinquishing control of the nation to his relatives, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko and former finance minister Ken Ofori-Atta.

“We did not vote for them, none of them was elected to take the presidential seat. Things are not going well and he (Akufo-Addo) must be told.

“Even if Ofori-Atta has been relieved of his post, the Akyem Mafia so-called are in charge. I am pained like most NPP people who cannot openly complain, God will ask me if I fail to tell him the truth while he is in office,” he emphasized.

I used to pray with Diana Asamoah, her gift is divine – Owusu Bempah

Reverend Isaac Owusu-Bempah, the founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, has affirmed that gospel musician Diana Asamoah’s anointing is a divine blessing from God.

According to Rev. Owusu-Bempah, Diana Asamoah possesses a divine talent, which he attributes to God’s gift. He also recognizes her dedication and effort in developing her musical abilities.

Reflecting on their shared past, Rev. Owusu-Bempah mentioned their practice of engaging in extensive prayer walks before Diana’s rise to prominence.

“I used to pray with Diana Asamoah; we used to have such prayer walks for lengthy hours, sometimes at dawn, …so, if you see her anointing of God, she didn’t get it on a silver platter.

“When I hear certain things about her, I laugh over it. Her gift is divine; she was born with it,” Rev. Owusu Bempah said.

During her visit to Owusu Bempah’s church, Diana Asamoah confirmed their shared history of spiritual endeavors.

She recognized the challenges she encountered on her path to success, emphasizing the significant role of consistent prayer walks with Rev. Owusu-Bempah in shaping her life.

“God used him to prophesy about me at Bonsu school and it has come to pass,” Diana Asamoah shared during her visit.

  •  Picketing at Mahama’s house: NDC youth dares NPP’s Owusu-Bempah to announce a new date

Picketing at Mahama’s house: NDC youth dares NPP’s Owusu-Bempah to announce a new date

The Greater Accra Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has issued a challenge to Owusu-Bempah, the Deputy National Communication Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), regarding his planned picket at the premises of former President John Dramani Mahama.

The NDC youth have called on Owusu-Bempah to announce a new date for his intended picket, emphasizing that they are prepared to respond with their own “clean-up” exercise at John Mahama’s office, depending on Owusu-Bempah’s actions.

Initially, Owusu-Bempah had announced his plans to picket at John Mahama’s office on October 12, 2023, to demand an investigation into the Airbus scandal. However, he later rescheduled this event, prompting the NDC youth to postpone their own cleanup exercise.

In a statement, the NDC youth criticized Owusu-Bempah’s actions, characterizing them as an attempt to gain unwarranted attention. They expressed confidence that he may not announce a new date for his planned picket, but they stand ready to respond if he reschedules the event.

“Following the decision of the coward loudmouth, Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah Bonsu, to abort his unwise decision to picket at the office of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama under the guise of rescheduling same, we wish to announce a postponement of our planned clean-up exercise at the same venue.

The decision to embark on a clean-up exercise at the office of the 2024 flagbearer of our party was contingent on the rabble-rouser’s inane announcement to picket at Mr Mahama’s office on Thursday, October 12, 2024. We knew from the onset that Owusu Bempah was engaged in his usual publicity stunt to court underserving attention for himself.

“Though we are firm in our minds that Owusu Bempah may not announce a new date for his planned picketing, we wish to state that on any day the hazardous things, he smokes deceive him to reschedule his event, we would be ready to meet him at John Mahama’s office to ‘weed out’ all unwanted materials,” part of the statement read.

The NDC youth group has also appealed to the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, expressing their hope that if he instructs Owusu-Bempah to reschedule his demonstration, the new date would be approved, should Owusu-Bempah decide to proceed with it.

“We wish to plead with the Inspector General of Police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare that if indeed, he directed Owusu Bempah to reschedule his demo, then he should please approve any new date he would fix it, that is if he would muster the courage to dream about it again.

“We take note of the pent-up feeling of the youth and the eagerness with which the announcement of a clean-up exercise at the office of Mr. Mahama was received. We urge all of you to keep anything you might have procured for the planned clean-up exercise for another day,” it added.

You’re an idiot, a very stupid, foolish boy if… – A-Plus roars at Owusu Bempah after attack on UTV

Musician, Kwame A-Plus, has lashed out at the Head of Corporate Communications, Ghana National Gas Company, Mr Ernest Owusu-Bempah Bonsu, for allegedly orchestrating the unathorised intrusion of UTV.

A group affiliated with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) stormed the UTV studios last Saturday, October 7, 2023, during the live broadcast of its entertainment program, United Showbiz shortly after it commenced.

The show then abruptly went off air while commercials filled the screen. The group trooped in to demand the removal of Kwame A-Plus, from the programme for tearing up a letter said to be from the communication wing of the NPP.

Videos of the incident went viral on social media, with many condemning the intrusion, while others questioned the state of security at the media house.

Reacting to the incident, Kwame A-Plus revealed that he had received word that Ernest Owusu-Bempah led the group to the media house.

Peeved by this news, A-Plus used slanderous words against the Ghana Gas worker and threatened to deal with him should such a thing recur.

“I’ve heard that Ernest Owusu-Bempah was the one who sent the boys here. That is what I’ve heard. I’m just hoping that it is not true.
But if it is true, it took him two weeks to organize those people. I came here with three pick-ups of boys. It took me less than 30 minutes to call boys to UTV.

“Owusu Bempah, of you do that thing again I’ll organize boys and I’ll bring them to Ghana Gas. I’m telling you this.
When we were campaigning for Akufo-Addo you were an NDC member. You were following Nana Konadu. He is a very stupid boy. When we campaigned for Akufo-Addo you were not part of it.

“And he has been making calls and threats everyday. I’m not afraid of him. I’m warning Owusu Bempah, in this country called Ghana, the very person who attacks NPP is Honourable Kennedy Agyapong. He can call the Vice President and the President tell them that he will give them a show down. And you stupid boy, none of you have been able to attack him and you can come here and think that we are scared of you, he said.

A-Plus issued the threat on UTV after the anauthorised intrusion was addressed.

Meanwhile, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has distanced itself from the invasion of UTV studios by some of its members.

In response to the brouhaha, the leadership of the New Patriotic Party has rendered an apology to UTV, noting that it would cooperate with the police to investigate the matter.

Director of Communications for the NPP, Richard Ahiagbah, who engaged the press noted that the party did not sanction anyone to go and disrupt the United Showbiz programme.

He is quoted to have said “We think that the attack is unacceptable, and it’s condemnable.”

On the other hand, 16 individuals said to be involved in the attack have been arrested.
