Nigerian lady, Princess Sommy, shocked by her father’s betrayal, recounted a recent birthday celebration gone wrong.
While out at a restaurant to honor her mother’s special day, she was unexpectedly confronted by her father’s double life.
In a revealing TikTok video, Princess detailed how she witnessed her father lavishing attention and money on another woman, leaving her family feeling abandoned and disrespected.
She expressed her frustration, emphasizing that her father seemed more interested in his extramarital affairs than caring for his own family.
“He acted like he didn’t know us,” Princess lamented, describing the scene where her father was seen being controlled by his ‘side chick’.
The betrayal didn’t end there, as Princess shared that upon returning home, her father callously demanded that they vacate his house immediately.
The incident serves as a stark reminder of the complexities and heartbreak that can accompany familial relationships, especially when trust is shattered by deceit.
Attaining a first-class degree is a common aspiration for many students during their years at the university. Those who accomplish this feat celebrate the realization of their academic dreams.
Nevertheless, some individuals argue that in today’s world, success is not solely determined by the class of degree one graduates with but rather by the connections and networks one builds.
A video, discovered on Twitter by GhanaWeb and shared by Instablog9ja, features a Nigerian woman expressing regret about graduating with a first-class degree and being recognized as the best-graduating student in her department.
She provided reasons for her regret, stating that her singular focus on academics during her time in school resulted in a lack of social life.
“I regret graduating with a first-class. I am not saying it is wrong to graduate with a first-class or as the best-graduating student, don’t get me wrong but that shouldn’t be your only focus. It is a good thing to graduate with good grades. By all means, if you have the mental strength, if you want to, please graduate with a first class but that shouldn’t be your only priority”.
“While I was in school, I was only focused on my academics and nothing else mattered. And now, two years later, I regret it so much. Right now, my social life is a wreck. There is no relation; romantic or even normal friendships”, she said.
She emphasized that in the current century, success is intertwined with networking. Consequently, one’s achievements in life will be influenced more by the connections one builds rather than the class of degree attained.
“Let me tell you something, where networking and connection will take you, trust me, your first-class degree will not take you. Take it from someone who graduated as the best graduating student in my department”.
“Let’s be honest, it’s 2023 and you’re in Nigerian, nobody cares about what you graduated with. Someone with a second-class upper or lower due to networking will be seen at reputable places than someone who graduated with a first-class and has no connections”, she added.

As hilarious as this may sound, this is the true life story of a Nigerian lady who has taken to Twitter to share her amusing encounter with a supposed broke guy.
As narrated by the lady found on Twitter as Kemi, this guy invited her on a date – And as expected, she was looking forward to enjoying a sumptuous meal only to be served only a bottle of water.
According to her, the guy told her he had only 200 naira on him which is equivalent to Ghc 4 hence he couldn’t order anything expensive for her aside the bottle of water.
Out of shame and disappointment, she ordered a plate of food for herself just to avoid embarrassment which might cause drama inside the restaurant and later be used for content by social media users.
Apparently, the guy claims he only wanted to see her face since they have been talking on the phone ever since they exchanged numbers on social media and not vis-a-vis before.
He told me to meet him at ICM, we talked for over 2hours, when I saw that baba wasn’t saying anything about ordering food, I said I was hungry
He told me that he didn’t come prepared, said he only has 200 naira on him that should he get me water. I off

Worst date experience
I got food and he was so embarrassed, he started begging me not to be offended that he just wanted to see my face, in my mind.. what happened to video call? Anyways I was eating my food and when he saw I wasn’t taking to him.. he left. I took my time and enjoyed my date alone
While at it, another guy approached me.. paid for my meals and even ordered more, we saw a movie together and he paid my Uber back home.. Told him about the previous guy and he couldn’t stop laughing, well it turned out well after all. We joke about it from time to time.
Although, Kemi may not have reacted well but it still doesn’t excuse what the guy did!
Having said that, she should have bought food for the two of them. It’s what I would have done seeing that he decided to be vulnerable enough to open up.
