Some Ghanaian comedians make the work easy — Nigeria’s Brain Jotter

Nigerian content creator Brain Jotter has recently shared insights about his collaboration with Ghanaian comedians. Currently in Ghana for the premiere of the stage play “You Play Me, I Play You,” directed by Fiifi Coleman, he expressed his positive experiences working alongside local talent.

In an interview on 3FM Drive on November 1, Brain Jotter noted the ease of collaboration with Ghanaian comedians, highlighting their approachable nature and the friendly working environment. This experience appears to have reinforced the cultural ties and comedic synergy between Nigerian and Ghanaian entertainers.

“Jeneral Ntatia is making the work extremely easy. It’s more like one take, one go. All thanks to Jeneral and the Director, they are making it extremely easy for us.

“When I got the call, I’m like, okay, this is good because a stage play in Ghana to me is first of its kind. I did it for my fans in Ghana, and this will be an opportunity to meet those people,” Brain Jotter stated.

“You Play Me, I Play You” is an engaging socio-cultural satire written by the legendary late playwright Efo Kodjo Mawugbe that will be staged at the National Theatre and the Bukom Boxing Arena on Friday, November 8 and Saturday, November 9, 2024.

Produced by Africa Arts Network, this exciting production boasts a stellar cast that includes Jeneral Ntatia from Ghana, Nigerian comedian Brain Jotter, and Ghanaian actor Clemento Suarez, all directed by Fiifi Coleman.

The collaboration showcases a blend of talent from both countries, promising a dynamic theatrical experience that highlights the richness of African arts and culture.
