Donald Trump won by a lot in the Nevada Republican caucus.
The only other person on the voting list was Ryan Binkley, who works as a pastor and businessman.
This means that Mr. Trump will get all 26 delegates from Nevada. Delegates are used by political parties to choose their candidate for president.
Media first report showed that the ex-president got 99% of the votes.
Donald Trump said at a party in Las Vegas that if we win this state, we will easily win the election in November.
Donald Trump has won in three states – Nevada, Iowa and New Hampshire. This means he is likely to be the Republican candidate in the November election.
He also won a vote for the Republican party in the US Virgin Islands, a place that is not a fully separate part of the United States.
Donald Trump’s main opponent, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, decided not to participate in the Nevada caucus and instead take part in the state’s primary vote.
There were two different votes in Nevada because the Republican Party and the Democratic-controlled state government couldn’t agree.
Nikki Haley lost in the primary election on Tuesday. Voters chose “none of these candidates” instead.
However, the outcome was meaningful because the Republican party in the state decided that only the caucus results would be used to choose the presidential candidate.
Nikki Haley’s group said they didn’t join the meeting because they believed it was unfair to Trump.
The people in Nevada were confused and frustrated by the situation.
The state’s Republican governor didn’t like it and said all the voters should have only one ballot.
The election in Nevada will be closely fought in November, even though we already know the result of the caucus. The vote will likely be between Donald Trump and Joe Biden again like in 2020.
Mr Trump will go to South Carolina next, where he will compete against Nikki Haley again.
Even though she lost three times, she promised to keep fighting. She believes that Republican supporters want someone else besides Donald Trump to be their candidate. She also thinks that people want a real election, not just someone being chosen without a real contest.

Painful loss for Nikki Haley in Nevada Republican primary
Nikki Haley lost the Republican primary in Nevada, even though she didn’t have to compete because Donald Trump wasn’t there.
The Associated Press predicted that she got a lot less votes than “None of these candidates. ”
The governor suggested voting this way as a protest because Ms Haley will not be at the Thursday caucuses.
Mr Trump has no one running against him in that vote. He is almost guaranteed to be chosen as the presidential candidate.
With 86% of the voting areas counted, “None” got 63% of the votes in the primary election on Tuesday, and Ms. Haley got 31%.
The contest does not have to be followed because the Republican Party has said it is not official.
All 26 delegates from the state can be won in the caucuses.
The “none of these candidates” winning in the primary won’t have any effect on the race.
However, it shows how powerful Mr. Trump is that the negative reaction against Ms. Haley caused her to lose the vote.
The reason there are two contests is because the Republican Party and Democrats in the state legislature had a disagreement.
In 2021, the government made a new rule to change from caucus to primary elections because of problems with voting in 2020.
A caucus is a meeting where people have to go in person at a certain time to vote, while a primary is a regular vote at a polling station that lasts for several hours.
Ms Haley didn’t campaign in Nevada because she wanted to focus on her home state of South Carolina, where the voting will take place in a little over two weeks. And the criticism from voters didn’t discourage her team.
“Even Donald Trump understands that the casino always makes money when you play penny slot machines. ” “We didn’t want to play a game that was unfair for Trump,” said Olivia Perez-Cubas, who works for the campaign.
“We’re moving forward fast in South Carolina and to other places. ”
According to the New York Times, Ms Haley may still win if only the officially listed candidates are counted by the secretary of state’s office.
Mr Trump is likely to be chosen as the Republican candidate. He will most likely compete against President Biden in the November election.
Mr Biden won the Democratic election in Nevada on Tuesday. -
Police search Tupac’s house to solve 1996 killing
This week, police in Nevada have confirmed that they executed a search warrant in relation to the unsolved murder of rapper Tupac Shakur.
The search took place at a residence in Henderson, a suburb of Las Vegas, where Shakur was tragically shot and killed in September 1996.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, while acknowledging the search, did not provide further details due to the ongoing nature of the investigation into Shakur’s murder. At the time of his death, Shakur was 25 years old.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and there are no suspects currently in custody in connection with the case.
It is worth noting that the searched residence is situated less than 20 miles (32km) from the Las Vegas strip where Shakur was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting.
The investigation into the murder remains open as authorities continue their efforts to bring justice to this long-standing unsolved crime.
“LVMPD can confirm a search warrant was served in Henderson, Nevada on July 17, 2023, as part of the ongoing Tupac Shakur homicide investigation,” a Las Vegas police statement said.
“We will have no further comment at this time.”
Las Vegas Police Lt Jason Johansson told the Las Vegas Review Journal that detectives were working on the cold case once more.
“It’s a case that’s gone unsolved and hopefully one day we can change that,” he told the newspaper.
Renowned rapper Tupac Shakur, known by his stage name 2Pac, made his debut in the music industry in 1991, captivating audiences with his talent. He achieved remarkable success on the charts with hits like “California Love,” “All Eyez on Me,” “Changes,” and “I Ain’t Mad at Cha.”
Tragically, on September 13, 1996, Shakur’s life was cut short when he was shot four times while waiting at a red light in his car. He succumbed to his injuries a week later.
With over 75 million records sold worldwide, Shakur left an indelible mark on the music industry. In recognition of his significant contributions, he was posthumously inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2017, solidifying his enduring legacy.

NABCO was a bad policy – Kennedy Agyapong
A member of parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has criticized the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration’s National Buildings Corps (NABCO) initiative as a poor choice of strategy.
According to him, most of the trainees under the programme, who were posted to government agencies, were paid for no work done.
Speaking to some Ghanaians in Nevada, USA, in an audio-visual shared by Nsem Pii TV, Ken Agyapong said that the government should have used the money for the programme to establish factories that will provide decent employment to Ghanaian youth.
“The youth must take their destiny into their own hands, (but) then again, what police did we implement (to help with unemployment)? I think that we made was with the introduction of NABCO.
“NABCO trainees were posted to government offices and ministries where they were doing nothing and being paid GH¢700 every month.
“The money the government used (for NABCO) could have been used to establish industries that could have provided 20,000 permanent employment out of the 100,000 trainees to reduce the number of unemployed youth,” he said in Twi.
Agyapong, who has indicated his intention of contesting in the presidential primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), noted that President Akufo-Addo should be praised for some of his policy initiatives, including the One District, One Factory programme.
