New York is set to witness a historic event as Nana Oduro Nemapau II is to be enstooled as the New York Asantefuohene on Friday, July 5, 2024.
The ceremony, scheduled to take place at the Inspirational Gospel Assembly located at 1211 Brook Avenue, Bronx, New York 10456, will commence at 6 pm and continue until 1 am.
Dignitaries from the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, Ghana, are expected to grace the occasion, adding to the grandeur of the event. The enstoolment will be accompanied by a display of rich Ashanti culture and quality Kente cloth, adding to the vibrancy of the ceremony.
Following the enstoolment, a grand party will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Eastwood Manor Caterers located at 3371 Eastchester Road, Bronx, New York 10469.
Additionally, a town hall meeting will be convened with the delegation from the Manhyia Palace, providing an opportunity for dialogue and engagement.
On July 7, a barbecue is planned at Crotona Park South in Bronx, New York 10456, further enhancing the celebratory atmosphere of the occasion.
The programme, organized by the Asantefuo Kuo Hene, Nana Oduro Nemapau II New York, North America, includes fundraising activities to support the development of the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, among other important initiatives.
