Edem’s management has provided an account of how the rapper was involved in a car accident that, based on reports, claimed the life of a woman.
According to a statement made by VRMG’s Head of Brands, Public Relations, and Corporate, George Wiredu Duah, Edem narrowly avoided death when an unidentified woman happened to cross his path.
“On Sunday, 10th of December, the musician after his appearance on United Television had an accident on the George Walker Bush Highway, where a ‘naked’ woman crossed his path out of nowhere,” the statement read.
“Edem’s car turned upside down after the impact but the artiste is very fine. Edem is currently complying with the police service for due process as the case is still under investigation,” it added.
The statement went on to say that Edem had promised to be available to assist with inquiries at any time.
“Edem has assured his availability to assist investigations when need be,” it said.

Earlier today, Graphic.com.gh reported that Edem made an appearance before the Kaneshie District Court on Monday, December 11, 2023, facing charges related to an accident resulting in the death of an unidentified woman.
As per the report, Edem was operating an unregistered Honda Touring vehicle during the incident.
Edem faced charges on two counts: careless and inconsiderate driving, and negligently causing harm.
In the court proceedings overseen by Nana Abena Asor Owusu Amenyo, the rapper refrained from entering a plea.
Nevertheless, he was granted bail amounting to GH¢50,000, requiring two sureties.
His next court appearance has been scheduled for February 15, 2024.
