    Mike Tyson finally bouts Jake Paul today

    Nearly 40 years after his professional debut and 19 years after his retirement, 58-year-old boxing legend Mike Tyson will step into the ring today to face YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in a Netflix-backed event.

    The fight, taking place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, marks Tyson’s return to the sport he once dominated in the late 1980s.

    The officially sanctioned bout is set for eight two-minute rounds and has drawn significant attention, with a crowd of about 70,000 expected at the Dallas Cowboys’ home stadium. Initially scheduled for July, the fight was postponed after Tyson suffered a bleeding ulcer in May, leading to criticism of the event as a risky endeavor for the aging fighter. Tyson last fought professionally in 2005, ending in a technical knockout loss to Kevin McBride after quitting on his stool.

    The weigh-in on the eve of the fight saw tensions boil over when Tyson slapped Paul during their face-off. Paul had theatrically crawled across the floor before rising to Tyson’s eyeline. Tyson, who had largely ignored Paul’s taunts throughout the week, struck his younger opponent, causing a brief scuffle between security teams.

    “Talking’s over,” Tyson said as he walked off stage.

    Paul, unfazed, smiled and appeared to meditate after the incident. “I didn’t even feel it. He’s angry. He’s an angry little elf,” Paul quipped. “Mike Tyson, I thought that was a cute slap, buddy, but tomorrow you’re getting knocked out.”

    While Paul is reportedly set to earn £31 million and Tyson’s purse is half that, questions linger about the motivations behind the match-up. Critics have highlighted Paul’s history of facing carefully selected opponents and unsubstantiated allegations of predetermined outcomes in his fights. Tyson, meanwhile, had declared in 2005 that he no longer had the “heart and stomach” for the sport and was fighting only to pay bills.

    “I am not going to disrespect the sport any more by losing to this calibre of fighter,” Tyson said after his last fight.

    Paul, who suffered a loss to Briton Tommy Fury in 2020, faces his oldest opponent yet, with many viewing the fight as a strategic contest for Paul and a nostalgic return for Tyson. Fans are left wondering if Tyson will stick to his recent advice: “Don’t follow the script, Mike.”

    The fight between YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has been rescheduled to take place on November 15 in Texas. The original date had to be postponed.

    In the co-main event, Ireland’s Katie Taylor, the undisputed women’s light-welterweight world champion, will face Puerto Rico’s Amanda Serrano. The bouts will be held at NFL side Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

    The fights were initially planned for July 20, but Tyson, who turns 58 later this month, had to withdraw due to medical advice following a recent ulcer flare-up.

    “Although we had to postpone the fight, I will resume training shortly. I am thankful to the medical staff that treated me,” said Tyson. “While we have a new date, the result will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is getting knocked out.”

    In a post on social media, Paul wrote: “New date, same place, same fate.”

    The Tyson-Paul bout, set to be aired on Netflix, has been officially sanctioned as a professional fight with specific conditions. The contest will be limited to eight two-minute rounds, and fighters must wear 14oz gloves instead of the usual 10oz.

    Mike Tyson, who last fought professionally in 2005 but participated in an exhibition match in 2020, made history in 1987 by becoming the first heavyweight boxer to hold the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles simultaneously. However, his reign ended abruptly in 1990 with a shocking defeat to Buster Douglas, considered one of the greatest upsets in boxing history.

    Jake Paul, 27, boasts a record of nine wins in 10 fights, primarily against former UFC fighters. His only loss came against British boxer Tommy Fury in February 2023.

    Mike Tyson is looking at a $5 million lawsuit after the former heavyweight boxing champion was accused of violently raping a woman in a limo in the early 1990s.

    According to an affidavit filed in Albany County, New York, the alleged victim said she met Tyson at a nightclub and was invited into his limousine. She was under the assumption he would take her and another individual to a party. While driving to the location of the party, Tyson attempted to kiss the victim, which she denied, before he allegedly raped her.

    “I met Mike Tyson in the early 1990s at a dance club called Septembers,” the affidavit read. “My friend and I were hanging out with him and his limousine driver. Tyson told us about a party and asked us to join him. My friend was going to drop off her car and Tyson said he would pick her up in the limousine.”

    “He then pulled my pants off and violently raped me,” the lawsuit stated. “As a result of Tyson’s rape, I suffered and continue to suffer from physical, psychological, and emotional injury.”

    The charges were filed under New York’s new Adult Survivors Act, which gives survivors of sexual abuse a one-year window to file complaints that would otherwise be prevented by the statute of limitations.

    The unidentified victim is seeking $5 million in damages, as she has “been unable to maintain and/or develop healthy relationships with men or anyone in general” and has “experienced extreme emotional suffering including but not limited to nightmares, panic attacks and flashbacks.” 

    Back in February 1992, Tyson was convicted of rape in Indianapolis. He was sentenced to six years in prison and was released on parole after three years.

    Mike Tyson, a former heavyweight boxing champion, is facing a $5 million lawsuit after being charged with raping a woman forcefully in a limo in the early 1990s.

    The alleged victim said in an affidavit submitted in Albany County, New York, that she met Tyson at a club and was welcomed into his limousine.

    She thought he was going to take her and someone else to a party. Before allegedly raping the victim, Tyson allegedly made an effort to kiss her while they were driving to the party, which she rejected.

    An American former professional boxer, Michael Gerard Tyson, known as Mike Tyson, has admitted to having offered rapper Remy Ma a luxury car in exchange for one night together.

    American rapper, Joseph Antonio Cartagena, better known by his stage name Fat Joe, made this revelation on the latest episode of Mike Tyson’s Hotboxin podcast.

    Fat Joe and Angie Martinez stopped by for an interview on the podcast and at one point Joe recalled what went down when he got invited to the boxing legend’s home.

    Admitting to this, Mike Tyson can be seen struggling to hold back laughter as Joe narrated the story.

    Fat Joe recounted: “Mike invites me to the house, and he says, ‘Bring Remy Ma with you’.”

    “Mike invites me to the house and he says bring Remy Ma with you. This is around lean back or some sh*t like that. We go to the house. He opens the door butt naked. Mike opens the door ass naked.” As Tyson laughed on, Joe continued, “I’m only worried about him. He takes me a tour of the house, I’m not lying to you. Every room I walked in there was a chick in every room, in every fucking room. I’m like what the fuck, I’m like this guy lives a fucking life. He offered us some fucking 500 bands.”

    Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson will return to the boxing ring for an exhibition fight against ex-four-weight world champion Roy Jones Jr.

    The bout is scheduled to take place on 12 September in Los Angeles.

    Tyson, 54, last fought professionally in 2005 when he was beaten by Irishman Kevin McBride in what was his sixth loss in 58 career contests.

    Fellow American Jones, 51, has not fought since beating Scott Sigmon in February 2018.

    The California State Athletic Commission has sanctioned the fight, which will be over eight rounds and broadcast on pay-per-view.

    Tyson became the youngest ever world heavyweight champion at 20 when he knocked out Trevor Berbick in 1986.

    He recently fuelled rumours of a comeback when he shared filmed pad workouts on social media.

    In 2006, Tyson had a number of four-round exhibition bouts with Corey Sanders. At the time he needed money having filed for bankruptcy in 2003, but he also spoke of the mental health and stress-relieving benefits a light-hearted return gave him.

    More recently, there had been talk of Tyson fighting former rival Evander Holyfield, who retired in 2014.

    Holyfield, 57, won their two previous bouts in the 1990s, including the infamous encounter in 1997 when Tyson was disqualified for biting his opponent’s ear.

    Jones Jr claimed world titles at middleweight, super-middleweight, light-heavyweight and heavyweight during his career.

     Mike Tyson went off on Michael Blackson. The former boxing champion was less than impressed when the Ghanaian actor/comedian, real name Kwabena Koti Kesie, sent the retired athlete DMs offering to marry his daughter and give him grandchildren.

    Blackson apparently read somewhere on the internet that Tyson was rumored to offer $10 million to any man willing to marry his plus-sized daughter. “Where she at? I’ll tear her a** up,” Blackson made rude comment in his caption as he shared the blog post. He added, “[I’ll] then go shopping plus she’s kinda cute.”

    The 47-year-old actor didn’t stop there. He wrote to Tyson asking, “If this is true, I think I’m finally ready to settle down. I known I’ve been dipping n dapping a few snow bunnies and Asian persuasion but I’m ready for your beautiful queen.”

    He continued, “I’m ready to give u some grand kids that will have the complexion of Tyson Bedford, knowledge pf Cicely Tyson, talk like you Mike Tyson and hopefully not built like Tyson Fury. I really don’t give a f**k about the money but I’ll take it. Waiting to hear from you father in law sir.”

    Tyson was understandable furious at Blackson since no father would want to hear a man making such vulgar remarks about their daughter. Tyson said the headline was hoax and warned Blackson, “Listen u black little b***h, this s**t ain’t real and soon as I find the person that started that meme, imma knock hem the f**k out so make sure it ain’t you burnt roach looking b***h.”

    The former boxer added, “My daughter is happily in a relationship with a nice looking man so she’s not interested in an overcooked hotdog like you. Next time you do my podcast, imma knock the black off u, it might take a year because you black as f**k.”

    He concluded by threatening to get Blackson kicked out of the country, “Gtfo my dm before I get your black a** deported you geico lizard looking b***h.”

    Blackson responded, “Omg wtf did I get myself into. Tyson I’m sorry please don’t hit me I’m just a beech ass neega.”

    The actor posted his exchange with the boxer on his Instagram and it soon went viral. Rappers Snoop Dogg and Ghostface Killah laughed at him on the comment section. “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kandi Burruss wrote, “I can’t believe you DM’d that man that bulls**t! [laugh] You’re crazy!”
