Everton have secured a loan deal for Napoli midfielder Jesper Lindstrom, with an option to purchase the player permanently in 2025, both clubs announced on Friday.
Although the financial specifics of the transfer were not revealed, Italian reports suggest that Everton will pay Napoli approximately three million euros for the loan and have a buy option set at 22.5 million euros for the 24-year-old.
Lindstrom, a Denmark international, joined Napoli from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023 and has since appeared in 29 matches for the Italian team.
“Last year was a tough year for me but I’m so happy to be here now and I can’t wait to get started,” Lindstrom told the club website.
“This is a season for me to come back on track. I think Everton is a very good fit for me and I’m ready to show why I should stay here.”
Everton have completed the signing of forward Iliman Ndiaye from Ligue 1 club Olympique de Marseille on a five-year deal. The team will begin their league season with a home match against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, August 17th.
