Rapper Joey B took a heartfelt moment to appreciate his colleague, Lil Shaker, for playing a key role in his music career.
The heartfelt moment happened during his performance at ‘Accravangaza which took place on March 29, 2025, at Ghud Park, near the Accra Mall in Ghana. It was a vibrant celebration of Ghanaian pop culture, featuring performances from top artists like Stonebwoy, Joey B, and others.
Pausing the show, Joey B turned to the audience and sincerely thanked Lil Shaker, who was standing beside him on stage.
“Lil Shaker is the guy who got me started. I’ve mentioned it in my interview countless times: there would never have been a Joey B without Lil Shaker,” he said.
He then shared how their journey began, recalling how Lil Shaker discovered him during his school days.
“I was in school when Shaker came looking for rappers, and I decided to avail myself. He has supported me ever since that time,” Joey B added.
The crowd erupted in cheers as Joey B expressed his gratitude.
After the touching moment, the two rappers thrilled fans with performances of some of their biggest hits, including Who Dey Eat and DJ Vyrusky’s latest song, Good Girl.
Lil Shaker, a highly regarded figure in Ghana’s Hip-hop scene, was a key member of BBNZ Live. He played a significant role in mentoring young talents and shaping the industry during his time with the label.
